Welcome Emerson Palmieri!

Absolutely. Well let's hope he ends up as good as Marcos.

Serie A is definitely worse than the Premier League but it's not a league full of bums, you'll always get some good talent there.

And with Roma, they're in a tight financial spot which is why they're letting players go for cheaper fees than they originally could. Palmieri might not look world class but I think he looks talented personally. The only issue is that I've heard he's had a history of injuries and not just the one he's recovering from.

Was going to say it, when Alonso gets his 3 game ban, Conte will probably throw Zappa at LWB.

I like Zappa but not at LWB, not when we have a ready made replacement warming the bench.

You beat me to it by an hour :laugh2: I we actually use the LWB we signed as a LWB while being our only available LWB.

Good luck against Burnley then Zappa!

Didn't know much of him before he came. And not seen huge amounts of him since.... But he deserves a chance and run of games.

Alonso will be pushing for a WC spot though (wouldn't  have thought he will get one) and i can't see conte dropping him for the remaining games.

Almost makes me hope for a 3 game suspension.... Almost.

How old is Palmieri?

He looks quality to me, every time I've seen him. He has to start on Sunday. If he doesn't Conte will go down in my estimation even further.

I think we've got a good'un here.

A good steady debut. I like his direct running at the opposition and the fact that he actually puts in a cross, and seems to be decent at crossing.

He played pretty well. Especially considering just how little football he has played in the last 10 months.

Decent crossing, Good pace, good technically, and did okay defensively.

Bigger test to come, but so far he looks a better footballer than zappacosta.

He was popular with the Roma fans and its easy to see why. His injury set him back but he has a lot of potential and is still young. He should get a couple more starts now with Alonso suspended. This is a great chance for him to stake a claim for a regular start.

Really impressive full PL debut. Just get a feeling that we have a real good player in him. Hopefully the next manager uses him more and in the right way.

You know it's possible to praise a player just by his performance without having to put somebody else down while you're doing it.

Don't reckon he'll play Sunday unfortunately, bet it's zappa

Impressive full debut.

Looked very calm & balanced on the left, with quality delivery.

As others stated, bigger tests to come, but he looked very comfortable.

I will be very disappointed if he doesn't start on Sunday.

You know its possible to ignore if you have such an issue. Just saying.

I think Emerson will start.

Got the impression that part of the reason to sub off Emerson, albeit late on, was to help preserve his fitness for the weekend.

Didn't look out of place in the team last night. Given how atrocious our signings have panned out this season hopefully we've got some more than a bit competent in Emerson.

This guy had very similar stats to Alex Sandro while in Italy

Good to see him finally start in the League and considering he's barely played in the last year he looked really good. Can't really have any faults with his performance
