So all the talk on here for weeks has been about conte and the board and basically conte v the board so my question is this 

do we think the board actually know how we fans feel ? Do we think they know the outrage of going after Andy Carroll and the confusion as to why we have signed poor squad players .. do you think they know we want youth to get a chance (musond, Hudson-odoi over Pedro) .. save from the crowds attitude at games ? Surely from a commercial perspective they'd have someone from inside the club check message boards like this one to gauge fans reaction to potential signings for shirt sales etc as afterall it's a business ? Do we think they know we are upset they never correct this mistake of not backing managers after title wins.

 

im genuinely confused I mean they either don't know because nobodies telling them "look millions of supporters on twitter, Facebook, forums, matchday fans and season ticket holders are really believeing you guys are inept and clueless and think things are ran backwards, they're also not happy about no youth being brought through because of signings like Drink water and would of preferred to give Rlc a chance" or they are totally aware and think well the fans don't run the football club so they can like it or lump it, I've rambled but I suppose my point is if we all think they make these mad decisions to run us completely as s business but surely taking fans opinions in account would be best for business as no fans equals no club.

Do they care: probably not.

 

Also: we know only what we read from mostly very unreliable sources. It's nonsense judging the board based on that information.

there is no board, there is Abramovich and his secretary, who acts as a front when signing deals. 

Fans should never get a say in how clubs are ran.

Who even is the Board anymore - Maria and Roman?

As if they check the message boards anyway. Plus, Chelsea fans are too polite and thankful.  Real, Utd, Barca etc; their fans protest, complain and don't put up with it. Maybe we are right to be respectful to Roman and it is better to be this way, but it does mean we don't get our voice heard.

I agree, but i do think fans should be kept in the loop about certain things. The fans have no idea what is going on with club direction, people have their guesses and assumptions, but nobody knows for sure. This is where things like Chelsea TV, Twitter and the Website should come into play. With so many easy ways to connect with the fans these days, i find it inexcusable that we so often get left in the dark. This doesn't just go for us either, it goes for pretty much every football club in the country.

I don't think I can take much more of this forum.

Maybe we should be asking if we know how the board feel? Maybe if we showed a little love they’ll return the favour? I’m going to fashion a terrible home made ‘We love you Marina, Eugene and Bruce’ banner for the next home game.

Or plastics. As much as i want us to succeed as much as the next fan, I feel some people only care about the club since 2012 and hazard. A tiny part of me wouldn't mind not challenging for a few years as it might finally get rid of the ungrateful fans.

I'm surprised by some of the responses. The OP asked a geniune question. I think most of us can agree that our board is really bad and have undermined all our title winning managers to varying degrees in recent years by failing to build on title success. 

Jesus, bring back Ken Bates for a few years and you lot will be begging for Roman and Marina to come back

I never once once said the board should read my posts on the shed end, I said do they and should they read fans general consensus on social media and the internet - not the board should read my post and change there business model.

I admit i laughed when I read your reply It does read pretty funny, me and my girlfriend just both laughed about it when I read it to her, but point still stands  that most of your posts that I've noticed are arsey and sarcastic with people - mainly new posters - rather than offering any insight. At the ground me and a couple of mates got a chance to talk to one of the senior plod in charge of policing, he was in shock at the numbers we brought and told us they had had to cancel all leave and had drafted in every spare officer they could get from neighbouring constabularies.
