We might lack 1 or 2 players and a leader but that cant be fixed now. Keep the faith with the manager. How can any Chelsea fan say something like this after losing to Tottenham? If anything, meltdowns today should be acceptable. You never want to see you side embarrassed by your most bitter rivals, and it's now happened to us twice in a row. The last thing us Chelsea fans should be saying is "so what". We should be bitter about the defeat, we should be angry and we should be looking for reasons why we lost in the manner that we did. Our approach to the game from the first minute was off and that is something that should never happen against Tottenham. If the fans are saying so what after that defeat, it's not surprising that our own players can't find the motivation to actually get into a game until 20-25 minutes are played. Kepa needs to put his act together. In football 2 or 3 saves do not justify 2 silly conceded goals. this is not the first time this season he screwed up. I don't care about the saves, he was the main reason to lose this game. Yes, we played terribly and we would probably lose again some other way, but that doesn't matter now. What are you on about? What is he meant to do when Luiz has an easy block but instead jumps out of the way and let's a shot fly straight in the bottom corner.
November 24, 20187 yr Sarri says work in training is key now: 'We have to try to do something because the defensive phase was a disaster today. The offensive players pressed badly, the midfield defended not very well, and the defensive line was a disaster.'

Who's games have you been watching lately? We are moving in the wrong direction and teams more or less just need to man-mark Jorginho out of the game for our entire system to be completely woeful.

LOL, its like this will be our only defeat of the season and a humilating loss to spurs is just meh.

Fking up against Everton, playing poorly and not breaking them down, then yes, agreed, we are stil headign in teh right direction. But this defeat and teh manner needs a period of introspection and remedial action taken in smeoem areas. There has to be responsibility and accountability by the players for their performances upon occasion Dont want to shrug off losing to them but my point is we had an off day and nobody won or lost anything. It was 1 game. If we get things right over the next 12-18 months Spurs will be back in their box. Im confident this is the manager that will get us there, but a bit of work to be done and some changes to be made.

Take him out then......Luiz is not good at this level no matter his passing range. 2 minutes ago, carrickblue said: Sarri says work in training is key now: 'We have to try to do something because the defensive phase was a disaster today. Formation? Teams will know now that if you take Jorgo out our entire play falls flat.......thats cant be real at this level.
November 24, 20187 yr I think a major factor here is we have no leader in the pitch. Those people who said Luiz had leadership qualities were proven wrong in the most spectacular way tonight. For the past 25 years we have had two huge leaders in Wisey and JT. They have both said their job was to impress upon all new players that playing Tottenham was THE GAME of the season. The game where you ran your legs off, tried your heart out and fought like demons to get the result. Boy were we missing that attitude and leadership today.

November 24, 20187 yr We came 5th last season and realistically ending in the 4 has to be our goal this season. We have started better than I anticipated. We got the tactics wrong today. Spuds appeared bigger, faster and more intense. At one stage we had Haz playing up front as an isolated striker. Smallest player on the pitch against a physical and motivated defense. WTF. Today was bad but we will get over it. Subs made a difference but too late and our manager underestimated the physicality of the game.

Exactly how I feel, and I would add to that list of huge leaders next to Dennis and Terry another player as well but it doesn't matter you explained it perfectly. Rudiger is still green for this role although he has a good attitude overall and Luiz has never been a real leader, Kovacic and Morata are realistically bench warmers and Willian has it all wrong in his head.
November 24, 20187 yr BBC SHOWING US 1ST I SMELL A CONSPIRACY UNREAL. next game must win worst performance ive seen for ages and ages tbh, Against spurs, lord above lads

Our attitude today was awful from the very first whistle, we came out against our bitterest rivals like it was a testimonial match and just never got going in the first 20mins. Everything about the performance was wrong, Luiz returned to playstation mode ( probably spent the international break playing on FIFA) hard to decide which goal was the most embarrassing on his behalf. As for the Rabona by Kovacic from a good position and two goals down, words fail me.
November 24, 20187 yr I know i'm in the group that yorkley points an accusing finger at as being a Willian hater, but am i the only one that gets fking infuriated every time he hits a wayward pass or hospital ball to someone that he then shrugs and looks exasperated that the other player hasn't read his mind and moved to the god awful position to receive the sh!te ball that he has delivered into no mans land. The lack of ownership, always someone else's fault, is the immature, self absorbed attitude that grates most of all with me. Oh and yorkley...bite me

Despite some poor results the team look like they're moving in the right direction. The manager doesnt have a magic wand. So what if we lost to them, we lost before and we'll lose again. Every dog has its day.

November 24, 20187 yr I'm chilled a bit after having a beer, and watching strictly, one of my lads will be home in an hour after going today So will get his take on it, yes I've had the texts from y*ds this evening, but ignored them Tess Daley is better to look at, come next Sunday we'll prob be back above them, as I compose this Trevor Nelson on radio two has just said not a great day for his team but hey boys stay with sarri, we can all moan about players and selections, my thoughts are buy a decent centre back and centre forward, and Kante back to his rightful position and we'll be sorted, £150 mill job done! Whose paying? Carefree
November 24, 20187 yr Back from the game. What a disgusting performance, and I'm sorry about the strong words, but losing with such a lack of intent to this bunch of won-fcuk-all w**kers deserves the adjective. What the hell was going inside the players heads tonight? Or is it that with every effing international break we will endure such performances. The worse is that there's no evidence of a game changing plan, and we've seen that against Everton and tonight. Didn't get the substitutions, and they helped nothing at all. Basically, we were very bad tonight and they wanted more to beat us.
