We are screwed up front this season, we have no choice but to suffer with it or change things a bit and stick Pedro there. Much rather Pedo in there......we look spineless, gutless and with no soul. Tonight told alot......that spurs game was not a one off, its the standard atm.
December 5, 20187 yr this game could be blessing in disguise, just can't see morata earning trust again.Giroud not much better, we have the worst attack out of the top 6/7 teams

This season was never going to be easy, time to buckle in and support the guy. Its no consolation because he didn't really have sh*t performances, like us he had a dodgy slow defence prone to erro. The difference is he then spent a quarter of a billion on replacing just his defence. He's shopping at Harrods, we're in Poundland
December 5, 20187 yr We have a blend of players who aren’t good enough to play in Sarri’s system and some that have already given up on his system. New manager, new style at least attempted, results similar, league position at the end of the season, probably the same.

December 5, 20187 yr It's been evident all season we're still a way off from playing the way we can in this system, it'll take time and personnel tweaks, so I can't jump on the disaster bandwagon. The threat offered from Giroud/Morata is almost completely nil right now, and that's going to hold us back every game. And while I do like how Jorginho operates in that deep lying role, our entire system in possession revolves around him. Tottenham stopped him last weekend, and Wolves comfortable dealt with Cesc tonight, so that's clearly a position that needs focus. Kante's annoyingly a problem too, as while he's absolutely one of the best defensive midfielders around, he's been really struggling with being pressed himself, and his possession losses have left us exposed without a, well... him..., behind to cover. Combine this with drops in the form of Hazard and Alonso (effectively removing any attacking threat down our left for the last few weeks) it's fairly understandable we aren't coasting to victory every weekend. On the plus side, Loftus Cheek was good again tonight, Christensen maybe less so but got much needed minutes, and we can hopefully take a lot of lessons learned into City at the weekend. Still think we're on the right track, even tonight it's a lot better than last season, we were bound to hit a blip in form so lets see us shake it off on Saturday with a huge win. KTBFFH!

Same old same old pass left pass right pass back pass every direction except towards the frigging goal. Is Kepa really a £70m keeper? - he doesn't look top dollar to me. Hazard is a joke, usual running around looking great but when did he last score. RM can have him for all I care. Losing faith in Sarri too. Glad I never went tonight too. without hazard we are a 6th-7th place team
December 5, 20187 yr without hazard we are a 6th-7th place teamWe are gona be that with him in the team, he has been average for a month, sign the contract or f**k off, or at least turn up

Only reason people are sh*tting themselves is because you lose a few games in the PL then you trail behind. However, everybody should have known this. If the board have any ambition left, in January they need to upgrade 2 or 3 positions even if it means overspending.
December 5, 20187 yr Can you imagine what city will do to us? How can Woles show much more gut and passion......f**k it it is what it is, horrible all around and the future looks more bleak than good.

December 5, 20187 yr It's concerning that rather than improving, we appear to have beeen regressing these last few weeks. Intensity being the biggest issue is worrying to. You might expect some technical issues with a mismatch between style and players but there's no excuse for lethargy. One thing is 100% certain: we've got two hopeless strikers - regardless of tactics or style. And I feel half way to being vindicated when I said that resting players tonight would be wrong as we could have won tonight. Unless there's an incredible shock result, we'll get our arses handed to us by City. In fact I'm right anyway. What's the point of three points against City at the expense of three against Wolves?
December 5, 20187 yr I seriously put in a doubt the professionalism of this latin colony - Morata, Willian, Arizabalaga, Alonso. they act like they don't care.

December 5, 20187 yr City will hammer us out performances have been very poor for the past 4-5 games at least
December 5, 20187 yr I think we didn't play the football Sarri wants. Not sure why. When Jorg is on we spend much more time with the ball. To be fair that wasn't even where we lost today. We were sh*te around the box. No penetration and no chances. Have no idea what is wrong with Alonso but he has been awful lately.
December 5, 20187 yr Jose doing us a favour tonight though, maybe, just maybe, our team will show up against city, and whichever league 1 players who have been masquerading as chelsea players the last few games go back to their respective team

Pretty much everything you said was a problem is fixed by a truly dangerous 9. They press Hazard and Jorginho, because they have no fear of playing a ball into space 1v1 with Morata or Giroud. Morata is soft and has heavy feet. I have a feeling this match was to decide if some players should be kept or sold this January.
December 5, 20187 yr 9 minutes ago, charierre said: Not good enough by many tonight. Kepa has to do better with the first, Willian not for the first time tried to referee game himself and after we went behind literally no response. Morata not good enough, Giroud similar, Alonso again poor, Willian again blows not and very cold within a match. Even the spark has now gone from Hazard. RLC did ok. As hard as it is to swallow, in reality probably Morata, Giroud, Alonso, Willian, Christensen, Luiz, Fabregas, Zappacosta, Emerson, Moses, are not good enough to compete at the top of this division or the higher elements of european football. From those that i would say are good enough, Kepa, Pedro, RLC, and even Hazard at times, need to show a higher level of consistenncy in their effort and game play. Its quite damning and i am not knee-jerking because of the result, but could any of those in the first list get into Spurs, Arsenal, Scouse, Athletico Madrid, Inter, Juve, Barca, any of them. Surely even the staunchest of rose tinters must acknowledge that we are critically bereft of players capable of sustaining a valid attempt at the main trophy targets.
December 5, 20187 yr I overslept during the first half (KO was on 2.45 in here...) so just started watching during the second half, 5 minutes in and I knew things would not end well for us. slow movement, indecisive passing, minimum off the ball runs, it was obviously out of character from us. what's worse, even after 2 goals from them there didn't seem to be any urgency from any of the player. it's like watching us putting a Europa League game performance, no interest from the players our performance has gone downhill for a month or so, Sarri has to adapt or improve his tactics, or somehow find a way to motivate the players, whatever it is a change is quickly needed. I've said this in the past with Conte and Mourinho, the factor that led to their downfall was ultimately their own stubbornness to change their approach
