this is one of my points

to me PERSONALLY if you're a jew/minority but sing/chant/broadcast racist stuff how can it ever solve anything..

its fine to be racist or use racist terminology as long as you are the same is definitely making the whole issue un fixable.

If you're black is it ok to use derogatory race related language? PERSONALLY i do not think its ok at all. My gs mum would kick her daughters arse if she used that word whatever the context!

lots of double standards on these issues but its a minefield

Well, you don't get to decide which words are acceptable for minorities to use to refer to themselves. Try looking up 'reappropriation' in the dictionary. I disagree about it being a minefield. As I said before, this stuff is really not very complicated for anybody of normal intelligence.

LOL. so because im white i cant say black people calling each other the n word is disgusting and cultural/reappropriation? Ever been to South africa, Somalia? libya? its outrageous you say i cant talk about it tbh. Ive witnessed somali pirates enslaving their own people on the old trade routes selling other black people to libyans yet feck me cuz im white? you think thats a solution?

Hows that attitude working out in Zim? South africa? where whites are now killed for being white, Zim where mugabe took the land and caused famine

prime example of the BS going on

vikings enslaved half of europe Romans even more, I want money from italy to give to the saxons...oh wait!

im racist right?

Jesus Christ.

Genuinely think Chelsea fans going to Brighton need to sing Chelsea rent boys from start to finish on Sunday.

See what happens.

We will get done for homophobia probably, but I imagine if we sang over land and sea we'd be criticised for being offensive to people from Leicester.

What a battering we are taking from the media. I feel so sorry for the club and those who from ethnic backgrounds who have been affected by this ongoing saga.

We really do have an underlying racist problem at this club. Yes it's a minority, but far too often it's always our clubs fans caught red handed in some race storm. Of course every club has an element of racism but you don't see the likes of Utd and Arsenal having to put up with these events so often. What can we honestly do to stop this? Protest outside the ground to stop racism?

I disagree with this, being any colour of skin does not invalidate one's opinion, and being offended doesn't give you any credibility or validation. That pseudo-sociology bull sh*t has very little plausibility.

Let's not get stupid about this, as for the chant (if it was chanted) then it's obvious why it would upset some people given the circumstances and the problems many Jews have faced and are currently facing. It's just not in good taste regardless if the people chanting it where anti-semitic or not

ive always wondered why the jews get so upset when they are massively racist toward everyone around them?! Again they've been shopping in double standards r us!

I find this in really bad taste to be honest along with practically every other comment youve made on this thread. You cant just come out and accuse a whole religion of being racist, esp on a thread where we are being slaughtered around the media for being anti-semetic. Fans like you, if you even are one, are whats giving this club a bad name.

There is bigotry in every fan base, The reason you don't see this happening to Utd or Arsenal, is the media tends to ignore bad behavior by other teams. If any Chelsea fan does anything wrong the media explodes.

Too true, one of my first experiences of other fans racist behaviour was when I was about 15 going to play a school football match somewhere in South London and was standing on train platform with a mixed race chap from school, he was half Afro-Caribbean. So the train pulls in and I think nothing of it but my school colleague shouts out, 'Yaay, yaay Man Utd, Man Utd.'

A window is pulled down and out pops a head with dark hair and looks over and says,

'Fock off you black bastad!'

My school colleague went a bit quiet and although we weren't friends I felt sorry for him.

But everyone who is white is racist? Everyone who isnt Jewish is racist? What a dumb ass argument and non contribution. Wtf give the club a bad name? I've had a season ticket since I was about 10 along with most my family on and off and I was 4 rows behind this feckin incident! You are full of it.

I didn't accuse all Jews of racism at all. I've said that some of the most racist football clubs come from all over, one being from Israel. You are taking the p1ss. I'm wondering if I might know who you are! Be funny as hell if I did. Har har

Although I doubt it replying in the early hours probably not even in UK!

Also I don't care about your taste. It's fact. Political correctness and social justice bs is creating a far right. All over Europe right now. Mainly due to mass immigration and people being fecked over like this. Be interested to know your age because this is the language of little kids attacking free thought and speech at university's claiming people are fascists. It's dumb as hell and creates total division. The Arabs/terrorists love this kind of stuff. They want war and villifying and persucuting each other over things like race will build a perfect blend for the far right. Good luck to any minority then. LOL

I'll give you a perfect example of what we are seeing right now

"I can't get a job as a manger because I'm Black"

-No mate, you can't get a job as a manger because you aiint good enough'

The end.

My personal take on it is that Chelsea do not have a problem at all. Every club in the country will have a minority of people that will freely say whatever they feel especially when coked and boozed up. I am not white and not encountered any verbal abuse towards myself at the Bridge since I have been going from the eighties,  in what were supposedly ‘The dark days’. I saw more open racism from teachers at my schools.

No I'm fully aware that there is racism in every base. The problem is some Chelsea fans seem to like getting caught and as a result, tarnish the club's reputation and the other decent fans. It sounds so wrong what I'm saying as if they should be discrete like other fans. Quite frankly I hope they all disappear and die, they provide no benefit to this club whatsoever. Bottom line is, some vile people who follow this club put us in  the papers. Maybe we should target the racists and not the media .

I'm not defending idiot fans, but let's be honest here, the media don't give a damn about racism, discrimination or any other form of abuse. All they care about is dragging the club through the mud at any chance they get. It's no longer a case of tackling abuse aimed at footballers, it's just become another chance to get at Chelsea. Chelsea are an easy target, it sells papers, it get's them clicks on the internet, they will play this out as long as possible.

The banana skin incident at Tottenham has been largely swept under the carpet, it's only ever mentioned as a small piece of news now. Tottenham call themselves y*ds every weekend, they sing it all of the time, nothing gets said. Liverpool fans have received countless warnings and fines in Europe for the past 3 years, that get's reported and swept under the carpet the next day. Repeat offences always get ignored when it comes to other clubs.

I'm all for kicking fans out who are racist or anti-semitic, but I don't like how this suddenly turned into yet another media witch hunt instead of focusing on what is truly important.

From what I can guess it's probably one of the songs about Spurs, maybe "The sh*t from Tottenham Hotspur went to Rome to see the Pope" or something like that?

I totally understand reappropriation within minorities, but are the 50k Tottenham fans singing *** army a minority group ?
