So even when the tenured staff leaves you carry on the bad habits and culture until new leadership comes in and decides you will be gone if attitude doesn't change Bang on, the instutionalised culture won't change until we make radical squad changes. We did that where I work, got rid of the bad eggs, and literally within weeks the whole atmosphere and work ethic was incredibly more positive.

January 14, 20233 yr Look at United, booted one of their legends out the door who was a drama Queen and trouble maker hasn’t affected them much has it.

Couldn’t make up the media coming out around Chelsea atm. 2 hours ago we’re acknowledging that we over spent in the summer and need to reign it in a bit, fast forward 2 hours and we’re spunking 100 mill on a player we arguably don’t even need haha.

I would argue we do, or at least we need his kind of player from what I can see from the videos. We desperately need midfielders, that should be our priority. But we also lack direct, pacy runners, and he's definitely that. All we have us Pulisic who actively avoids getting passed to, Ziyech who has no interest and an incredibly wasteful Stirling. Obviously that's not to say this guy is guaranteed to succeed where they fail. Edited January 14, 20233 yr by dkw

I’ve also just seen that we are still working on signing a midfielder and a right back this window, so I’m calmer having read that haha.

I agree, we need someone who frightens defenders not people who are frightened themselves, we have enough of that already.

January 14, 20233 yr Todd Bohley must be thinking because we bought 2 youngsters midfielder in summer we dont need anymore FFS we need 1 NOW, not another winger This clown will turn us into Everton isnt it?

Good enough for Brighton's midfield, but hardly an untapped world class player like Kante was. Maybe I'm wrong though, I don't watch Brighton.

Which by many accounts we are really starting to tie to performance rather. Boehly and his team will be targeting building a squad of let's say 25 Of those 25, a fair chunk won't have a transfer fee attached (e.g. an azpi or an academy player) and the rest will be costing a certain amount based on the 10m example. Add all those up and that's player costs. So basically 70m doesn't just go out the door with FFP, it's spread out. Boehly and his team I believe are spending a lot now to balance out later (with sales / promoting youth players). The fact we are offering 7 year contracts is a clear example that we DO know how FFP works.

January 14, 20233 yr No winger will do well until the midfield is fixed. We can't even pick out a forward pass. Priorities are all wrong. Everyone see Felix show his skill, play a ball to Mount and then make a beautiful run where he'd be 1v1 with the GK last match and instead of playing the ball back to Felix, Mount made a lazy side pass. Good example of our problems. We don't have mids who can connect the attack. Here ya go. Edited January 14, 20233 yr by HonoreMeiBalsac
