Cheers mate. The other thing is puzzling me is how do the new players fit into our 25 man squad? How do we get round that ?

Under 21s don’t count so we’re fine.

Chelsea are still in line with FFP rules even after all the spending so far, Egbhali across the financial books, long term contracts to the likes of Badiashile & Mudryk help with this, challenge is Chelsea can’t do this every window - sales may be necessary. (@JacobsBen) #CFC

No sh*t. We are obviously going to be selling players.

Thanks for info.

But on radio they suggested that for accounting purposes the fee is written as being spread over the term of the contract?

Can't think of any other clubs giving such long contracts for FFP reasons though. Isn't it risky if players turn out to be useless?.

Very risky especially if the player decides he wants to be paid his contract owed.

Hypothetically Murdyk is on £15k/w at Shaktar. Arsenal have offered him a £75k/w 5yr contract, but we have given him a £150k/w 8.5yr contract. The total package offered by Arsenal is £18.75m, while we have offered him a £63.75m. If after 2 seasons we decide he isn’t up to scratch and want to sell him and write off our losses, Sevilla offer him a way out with a £30m bid and £60k/w 5yr contract. He can decide to dig his heels in and refuse to move unless the £90k/w disparity in what he earns here (£150k/w) and what Sevilla is offering (£60k/w) is made up. A cautionary tale is when Utd signed Alexis Sanchez for £35m on a £500k/w 3.5yrs deal from Arsenal, and he flopped badly. They loaned him out to Inter Milan after one season, had to pay him £9m upfront, and waive a transfer fee from Inter so he could sign for them at £130k/w.

Unfortunately there's plenty of evidence that being a millionaire doesn't mean you can successfully run any business.

Todd made his money in finance and insurance etc, not by running a football club.

Anyway, the way it's going I reckon he's using us a massive debt to offset profits elsewhere in his portfolio as some sort of tax scheme.

But you're acting like Boehly is our only financial backer, he's a minority owner used as the face of the consortium. Our backers are not about to lay out around £4bn to lead us to bankruptcy. Plus you do forget that while Boehly doesn't have football experience, he's part owned sports teams for years.

I do wonder if that 150k mentioned is including performance related bonuses, or if those are additional? I remember reading somewhere they were prioritizing higher performance related / lower regular salary. If so the actual number may be far lower than 150k unless we’re winning, then he’s winning. Which is really how it should be 🤣

More players need to be on performance pay, so if it’s £350k half of that is what you do one the pitch and the overall team performance. Never understood why performance didn’t make up a bigger part of footballers pay.

Maybe he should do a Mike Ashley and go and sit in the MHL for a home game.

The Alexis situation is a bit different due to his age. Even if he underwhelms here he will have some suitors due to his age and skillset. A bit like how we got a good offer for Lukaku 1.0 despite him not being good enough for us.

Kouli is the one to compare to Alexis.

For sure he’s been on this forum.

Shed end ranks relatively high on a google search, so he’s seen us lot ranting away.

Good, i hope he does. Wellcome Todd. Why have we bought so many sh*t players ? Why don't we get rid of said sh*t players? When are we going to see your stadium plans? Why do you sell such sh*t over priced beer at the Bridge? Could you give me £500k.

Hi Todd, if you're listening don't put all your eggs in one basket. Elite coaches are available all the time. We'll give your hand picked boy some more time, yesterday bought him that but fans were starting to get uneasy. You took away one of our own when you sacked TT you've got some making up to do.

However, signing Nkunku, Felix, Benoit B., (don't know enough about the Ukranian lad) is a very good way of making ammends.

Also if it's not too late,  get Enzo or better yet an unknown diamond for our midfield at less then half the price. Show us you can sign promising young players below £100m heck below £40m.

P.s: Also in two years resign my boy Timo he was proper Chelsea all heart

Ok let's play along.

Welcome Todd. I am certainly not a fan of your ownership so far, but have been proven wrong many times so that does not mean squat. To begin with I was worried when Uncle Ken sold up as well.

Anyway you made a right pigs ear of that first transfer window. Good luck shifting on Sterling, Koulibaly, Cucurella and Aubameyang cause you will certainly need it. I hope this window will prove better. Badiashile made a good start so here is hoping.

Do you happen to know George Clooney? Asking for a friend *cough* @Valerie*cough*

Keep an eye on the managerial career of the Shed ends own @Zetaeveryone speaks highly of him and think he is the dogs b*ll*cks on here.

I would also put forward @Munkworthto take over as our mascot to keep the fans pumped during the game, you know how that can help with sales of food and drink. He would be perfect for the role. In an unrelated matter he would also like Guro Rietans phone number...

If you need an administrator look no further than our own @Mod. Been running this place for years and never had had a single site issue....

Also we have talented artist/gif master here in @mojohire him for your social media team, he would be great.

Lastly if you want your own social media ITK on payroll take on @JM7. As we say around here, he has the sauce!

I think a physically imposing midfielder would be required alongside either of the Enzo's
