Roman, as a fan of the game not looking to make money, took occasional cup winners and top 3/4 challangers and made us one of the best clubs in the world.

I get the feeling most of our new owners will be happy to leverage that fame and make money just as the Glazers and Kronke have done and Gillet and Hicks were doing.

So long as the profits come in, I can see us becoming like Arsenal.

He did, but he also spent an insane amount of money and we only won 5 league titles. Roman could have definitely run us far better imo. He bought many average players and never kept us consistently competitive domestically.

I don't know Boehly intentions, but I doubt he'll do well if we aren't getting results, making top four or winning the league, so he will need us to be competitive all across the board.

As Boehly indicated in his recent interview, looks like we might be heading down the multi-club model in the foreseeable future.

Perhaps Boehly would come across as less of a clown if he managed to fill the executive positions of the club he took over months ago before talking about buying another.

Roman could have done things better sure, his aim was never about making a profit though, and that will be a factor for the new owners.

If our aim was to be competitive quickly, I dont believe Potter was the right appointment. He will likely need years and even though, compete with City??!

Every man and their dog journalist is having a go at him and whats worst some Chelsea "fans" and joining in.

Rather than get behind the new owners and  give them time,  it seems its  bashing Chelsea time again.

We are exploring a partnership deal with Brazilan side Santos and want to buy clubs in both Belgium and Portugal.

I can scout clubs here in Portugal. Where do I send my bill? I draw the line at Belgium though, I have standards, you know.

Portugal would be handy as it’s league has a good record of bringing in players from South America without restrictions.

Also is a league that has a good record for success:flop ratio coming into this league, quite possibly the best in that regard.

Luis Diaz the latest success story.

Sorry off subject but how comes Roman gets sanctioned and we get sanctioned but Bournemouths Russian owner is fine and its all ok

to sell the club and keep the funds ??

Will you stop asking pertinent questions? The UK government isn't prepared for them.

Probably donates to the Conservative Party and is in line for a peerage.

Boehly talks too much! Always in the media saying something or the other! Not once  in 20 years did Roman ever talk to the media or give an interview. Boehly giving people the ammunition to bash Chelsea now.

Why should I or any other Chelsea fan support Bohely?

We support Chelsea the club, he isn't the club.  We're not some personal cheer leaders.

He's chosen to buy it largely with the funds of a capital investment firm and other partners and has so far in the eyes of many came across as a massive self indulgent bellend who's obsessed with trying to change the sport, the format, the structure and everything in between before even getting his own house in order.

I think most Chelsea fans would appreciate him actually trying to get the right people involved in our club before he talks about buying another or trying to arrange more games.

After the last interview with Todd at the Salt conference, my heart sank deep in my body. I felt for the first time since 96 when I became a fan that I am genuinely worried about what Todd and Co will do to the club and the premier league. They run business not football. He is quite clear about that. He talks just like any business head. Abramovic said nothing and clearly had a big heart for football itself simply proven by his actions. 💙 Todd was crazy enough to fire everyone who knew football in the club and then put Potter in. Potter is certainly good in his own right, but has no experience at this level. It's just plain stupid. Tuchel was the best thing to happen to Chelsea since Conte. Chelsea are already in an all star league considering what they have achieved and what they measure up to in Europe. I fear we will drop out of the top European club list quickly and become a mediocre money machine. Why is Potter perfect for Todd? Because Potter comes to build a career and is a junior in this game level. People in that position will respond to the chief demand with no criticism. The result - the owners echo chamber. Doubly sad when I automatically find myself watching Manchester City games and Haaland and almost forget my own team at CL evening. What can be done? Just crossing my fingers and hoping I'm dead wrong!
