Malmo V Chelsea (EL) Thurs 14th Feb 20:00 UK

Well, we're winning, I'm happy about that, but we still look really poor. Our attacking play is the worst I have ever seen it this season. We are lucky to create more than one decent chance a half.

Good result going into half-time. So that's good.

But i think we look poor. Malmo are really, really poor and we've looked toothless and dull.

There's obviously some nerves there, which is understandable considering the loss to city. On top of that Malmo have set up well. We definitely need more intelligent movement up top.

There was one point where Pedro broke away and Barkley and Giroud were just behind him, he looked for the pass, made it but it went nowhere because Barkley started moving to left rather than running nearside of his man. So frustrating.

Pretty sh*t going forward. Giroud and pedro have been quite bad. Willian playing okay.

Midfield has been okay, jorginho has been sloppy on occasion, kovacic has shown glimpses of quality, and Barkley got himself in the box and got on the scoresheet.

Defensively we haven't been tested too much, just need to stay switched on at set pieces.

Overall, I think we should be doing a bit better against a side who haven't played a competitive game for 2 months. Hopefully get a couple in the second half and kill the tie.

Thinking back to the season we won the europa, we were so much more exciting.

I remember one game in particular, Torres got kicked/elbowed in the face, that set off a rocket up his arse and he was vintage Torres all night.

And then he missed the penalty.

That was a very different team though. We still had a lot of the players that had won the Champions League the season before.

We can’t carry on like this...... nice to be 1-0 up but this as bad as normal. Pass pass pass and nothing. Surely Sarri can’t play this way in the next 4 games! Surely Kante will play CDM in some of them!

Is Sarri watching this game at all? Every time the cameraman zooms in on him, he is scribbling something in his notebook.  Is he really a novel writer and just moonlighting as Chelsea manager?

Making a list of all brands of fags he’s going to buy himself when his compensation money comes through.

Apart from the good result, no other positives.

We are very poor against a championship level team at best.

Nothing has changed, if anything we are getting worse and very hard to watch.

I fear for our next fixtures and can't see Sarri lasting beyond the end of the season.
