Midfield has been awful. 

Kovacic looks like he will make a crucial mistake at some point, already got away with 3 or 4 sloppy bits of play. 

Barkley doesn't do anything really, in that first 20 mins when we struggled to get out, he didnt once offer a passing option. 

CHO and William look bright. Really dull game though.

Watching Chelsea play is like a punishment these days.

Useless 45 minutes of football.

How many times can we move that ball without creating anything interesting in our game? I like possession game and I believe this is the proper way to play football, but come on, there must a main object to lead that ball to.

 

No idea why we insist on going backwards with the ball so much. 

We win possession on the halfway line and it ends up back with the goalkeeper.

Where is the killer instinct to look forward?

Our football right now is just pants.

Sick if seeing us passing ourselves into trouble in our own half. Just get the ball forward early.

The likes of Willian and CHO are giving Malmo grief almost every time they get on the ball but we’re not pushing forward early so often they’re receiving the ball 50 odd yards from goal.

God help us on Sunday.

having been mad as hell after Monday, I was looking forward to this thinking that we'd get out there and show something. But really there's been no life to this performance so far, we just look dysfunctional

I'm at a loss to understand what has gone wrong - start of the season our guys looked like they were enjoying their football, Sarriball looked like a an actual thing, at times we tore teams apart - that's all stopped

we've no pace, few one touch passes, slow, laboured build up and a lack of inventiveness in attack.

added to that every time the opposition attacks us our defence looks like a bunch of disorganised school kids

The rest are poor, of course, but this don't change the fact that when he arrived we were in 5th position far 24 points to Mafia and after three years we did always better until we won (in a regular competition). 

We've seen this show before a few times in the last few seasons sadly. It feels like the players know the manager's departure is imminent and they are just going through the motions.

Very risk averse passing in build up. No one running to make a connection, still giving it away regularly. This is a zero f**ks given performance,  just going through the motions.

I can't imagine Bruce Buck and the leadership tolerates this much more.

Another 6-0 coming up on Sunday. This is such a lifeless performance.

Can't agree with that Scott, kovacic has been awful. Hes quicker than jorginho, but he has been very sloppy on the ball, and he doesn't help us play out from the back as as well. 

He can't f**k off soon enough. Let's be honest, we've seen that many times before, the players simply stopped caring, the sooner it ends, the better chance we have to turn the season around.

there are 2 answers

1) everyone brought into the first XI tonight knows they've not got a cat's chance in hell of starting on Sunday and/or 

2) these guys don't really want to be taken apart by City, they'd rather go shopping with their wives

Perfect game to try something else. Go 4231 second half and mix things up.
