Chelsea vs Slavia Prague (EL) Thurs 18th Apr 20:00 GMT

I need something to lift me after Sunday. Not sure if this match will do it. Has to be taken seriously as Slavia Prague looked just as good as a mid table PL team judging on their performance last Thursday.

It won't be. Win and we do what is expect. Beat an inferior team at home and qualify. Lose and go out only adds to a bad week.

We can crack a smile if arsenal get dumped out though, that would be a nice surprise.

Have to say that I'm pretty sick of football at the moment - thank God it's cheap ale night at my local!

I'm sure my enthusiasm will grow after I get a couple of IPAs down me. Time for Giroud to show that he's worthy of that starting spot.

Agreed. I feel how I normally do during international breaks. Complete lack of interest.

I'm happy with this lineup as CHO and RLC are being rotated in properly. I like the defensive steel that Kovacic brings to the regista role.

Not sure why Zappacosta and Willian could not start in place of Dave and Eden to give them a break.

I don't think Hazard needs a break, he has barely played a European game all season, he has also missed out on a few cup games too. I think this competition has to be treated as our primary goal for the rest of the season, so it's best to throw our best 11 out there.

for F's sake it's Chelsea, place in a European semi-final at stake, possible trophy and CL place to be won

COME ON CHELSEA!! :UK:::ChElSeaFLag:::UK:

Apparently tonight is practically the same as the final match of the seaon in which we can only solidify our 15th place

Not our strongest team. No RLC, no CHO.

But Hudson-Odoi and Loftus-Cheek are special cases. Hudson-Odoi won't be starting every game at his age and Loftus-Cheek has to be managed differently because of his back.

When I was a young Chelsea supporter. I used to wish it was us competing for a European Semi Final place.

Back when the likes of Aston Villa, Ipswich Town and Nottingham Forest were doing so...

We are 1-0 up from the first leg and I'll be delighted if we get to the Semi Finals.

I'll never take it for granted.

Come on Chelsea.

I think the fact that Spurs are in the CL SF has served to temper the overall excitement of us getting to the EL SF.

Yeah I don't doubt that.

I'm not exactly pleased about it myself, unsurprisingly.
