Alonso? I can’t see anyone else piping up.

Athletic were saying Alonso rejected a loan move. One of the suggestions was that maybe he knew Frank was on his way out.

Don't know what to say.

During and after Leicester it was as obvious as obvious can be that the players weren't playing for him. Fickle twats the lot of them.

And "tensions" with the board has been a common denominator for every manager for years now. Perhaps it's time for the board to have a look at themselves and the structure as well?

How can we sack Lampard when he’s made really positive changes yesterday and the next couple of games look really good for Frank to turn it around?

Massive knee jerk reaction by the board.

If you think yesterday was real positive change then God help us.

Sad to see what was always a fairy story end, but he knew what he was getting into and to have one 70m investment fall apart (kepa) is one thing but then to see Warner and Kai going the same way along with results, I am actually surprised it took so long.

Wish Frank all the best but its time to move on.

We have looked clueless for too long.

Whether you or I like it or not, it is a massive audience that bombards the clubs official Twitter feed with utter drivel consistently, on every tweet. As much as it would be nice to say that sort of thing goes completely unnoticed. I highly doubt it does.

Facebook and YouTube are bigger platforms than twitter, by quite a margian aswell.

I very highly doubt the board are influenced by fans opinion (if they were Mourinho would still be here) but if they look at fan mood to help them come to decisions even slightly I'd imagine YouTube is the place they would go as we do have some fantastic and level headed supporters on that platform (George Benson, Younes to name two).

You really think it's Marina who's scouting our targets?

She's a negotiator...

Then who’s choosing the targets if not Frank or Marina? Roman himself?

If there's any truth to that article, sounds like he's been struggling for quite some time with the dressing room. Unfortunately, at much as I love him as a player, I don't think he's cut out for this job at the moment, he's got a lot to learn tactically and man management wise.

If only Alonso can cause this i would be amazed. Maybe yes but probably Rüdiger too and very likely others, could be Azpi too as in the article stated was to depart as well.

After the fools we (average fan) made of ourselves branding Hazard, Cesc and Costa rats after Mou left I really hope we learn our lesson this time round.

It's nothing new. It's a recurring theme that engulfs the club every 18-24 months.

There's always a honeymoon period and then things deteriorate not long after. Pretty damning that our longest-serving manager in the Abramovich era has been Mourinho (2004-2007), which was 3 years, 3 months.

In that time, we've had some great managers come through our door but they never stay long enough to build a dynasty. I have nothing against Tuchel, I wish him well if he's our next coach, but he doesn't excite me that much either.

Tuchel is probably a decent coach but as a total package I just don't see what is the board thinking here, he's such a gamble that it makes no sense to sack Lampard so fast.

“The problem was, the manager didn’t talk to the players — well only the ones he liked"

This what irks me. Never a good sign to have favourites and leaving behind others. I know many Coaches have their go to players but apperently Lampard was not diplomatic enough.

One #Chelsea backroom staff member told some players: "Don’t worry, this [Lampard] will all be over in a couple of weeks."

Ouch.

Ouch.

Saw this on Twitter, apparently one of the backroom staff that didn't come with Lamps.

Get whoever said this out the club.

The lack of tactical instruction has been obvious for a while now so it doesn’t surprise me that it’s all coming out now.
