The first indication #CFC players had that something was awry about today came via a WhatsApp sent to all of them early this morning. The players were told at late notice that training was being moved from 10.30am to 2pm. #Lampard

So i guess from this response you're one of the fake fans calling for Lampard's head?

Wanting Frank gone makes you a fake fan? Ridiculous statement.

It's an opinion, if you're respectful, and raise a good argument, you can definitely be reasonable and a "real" fan of this club for wanting a managerial change.

Essentially Frank's dismissal will come down to 10 poor games starting from December 12. Up until then, things appeared to be going well.

  • Everton 1-0 Chelsea (PL) = 12/12/2020
  • Wolves 2-1 Chelsea (PL) = 15/12/2020
  • Chelsea 3-0 West Ham (PL) = 21/12/2020
  • Arsenal 3-1 Chelsea (PL) = 26/12/2020
  • Chelsea 1-1 Aston Villa (PL) = 28/12/2020
  • Chelsea 1-3 Man City (PL) = 3/01/2021
  • Chelsea 4-0 Morecambe (FA Cup) = 10/01/2021
  • Fulham 0-1 Chelsea (PL) = 16/01/2021
  • Leicester 2-0 Chelsea (PL) = 19/01/2021
  • Chelsea 3-1 Luton (FA Cup) = 24/01/2021

The Boxing Day performance against Arsenal was probably the beginning of the end. It rattled the whole club to be beaten so soundly against an average Arsenal team.

Don't know what to say.

During and after Leicester it was as obvious as obvious can be that the players weren't playing for him. Fickle twats the lot of them.

And "tensions" with the board has been a common denominator for every manager for years now. Perhaps it's time for the board to have a look at themselves and the structure as well?

So you are blaming players for struggles with manager. It is the managers responsibility. He is responsible of all that. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Experience goes a long way.

But the culture of the club is we don't look for slumps for long. Every player knows this. They start to expect the sack and stop playing.

Wanting him gone, no.

Shouting your head off on twitter since day one and celebrating he's gone, yes.

Mourinho V.II is incomparable to Mourinho V.1 or Lamps.

They're both incomparable to Lamps, both versions won trophies and had a much better win rate.

Where is all this from? The Athletic?

Are we really that in shock about this. Frank will always be a legend at the club but unfortunately I just don't think he is cut out for the job, and has really struggled of late.

As a team we have looked so devoid of ideas and have looked really average, and with the players we have that shouldn't be happening.

If this happens today or before the next games against Wolves I don't think I will be excited to see whoever comes, specially Tuchel if that's the case.

This is a sign of a big structural problem in the club that started high up the chain of command and that simply isn't a sustainable model to operate.

There is a difference from loving the club and accepting whatever the board decides to do, I don't need to support Tuchel at all.

Think the writing was on the wall when we made a massively out of form Arsenal look like Brazil. The revolving door of managers happened before Roman and will keep happening it's in our DNA.

“The problem was, the manager didn’t talk to the players — well only the ones he liked"

This what irks me. Never a good sign to have favourites and leaving behind others. I know many Coaches have their go to players but apperently Lampard was not diplomatic enough.

If that is true then unfortunately he is the architect of his own downfall. That's a big management no no ...

I suppose the emphasis is on "if that is true" though 🙂

We are told he wanted Aubameyang and Ziyech in January 2019, and then tat only 1 of the 6 that arrived last summer was his choice, and that was Chilwell. Did Lampard change his mind on Ziyech or is that all just a load of bollocks ? My money on the latter ...

A sad day as/when Frank leaves us, whenever that may be. It will cut deeper than any other sacking of recent times, bar Jose 1.0.

hard to separate sentiment from perceived performance, but the lack of tactical nouse, and alienation of big investments has been an issue for a while.

I have complained for a lack of variety in the style of our play, and the seeming inability for Frank to change it for a while - it was evident recently during this bad run,  but also for a lot of last season.

Slow backwards/ sideways passing, followed by a speculative hoof into the box is not the way to get the best of the players we have (except perhaps azpi and jorgi) - and he has done nothing to change it. We looked good against Luton in spells, as we did against Barnsley and morcombe, but in the epl we , and he, have look short of ideas.

I hope he stays - but fully understand the boards position if he goes.

Super, Super Frank - always a legend.

Ouch.

What are we supposed to believe these days ?

Apparently a few days ago, Frank was supposed to be there till the end of the season. But suddenly we have a flood of "insider information" that Frank was done some time ago. Makes no sense, either we all were living in an alternate reality or the club and Frank can hide things very well.

It all boils down to that game. The way our players couldn't even turn up to a team that were incredible out of form and needed a spanking after beating us in the Cup Final. Our players went there and made them look like prime Barcelona, it was a f**king joke.

Lampard isn't the centre of all of our problems here, there's definitely an issue with player power and the players just decide not to turn up if it suits them.
