It’s hilarious watching him struggle to explain it all away.

‘So you can kick players in the box now?’

’No you can’t’

So it’s a f**king penalty!

I laughed at that too. There he was trying to get into a lengthy explanation and pundits in the studio just say it how it is. If you kick the player at knee height without taking any of the ball, then it's a foul. We shouldn't need the it needs to be clear and obvious rule to be talked about in length. It was as clear and obvious as you can get. I even seen some people say that Azpilicueta wasn't in full control of the ball........why should that even matter? He was still kicked in the knee, it should be irrelevant if a player has full control of the ball or not.

The club needs to stick up for itself more often. Too often we just allow these bullsh*t decisions go unnoticed.

I agree, we need to get lawyers involved, even just once, just to show we ain’t an easy touch.

We have enough evidence of bad decisions against us.

Peter Walton agreed with every decision that went against us, so what we have to remember is VAR is just a human with technology to back up what ever decision he wants to give.

That nonsense about attacking phase of play is exactly what’s going to piss off fans this season.

Agreed, the way Walton explained that, if that whole attack had moved the ball forward and then the ball is cut back to the edge of the 6 yard box and scored, then the strike from the cut back is a new phase of attack so the goal would stand? Utterly bizarre and clearly not logical. Norwich would not have had possession of the ball if Abraham wasn’t fouled.

One clear revelation from the use of VAR in Premier League is the deliberate decision of the referees to determine outcome of games. Unlike the excuse given by referees that ”I didn’t see it” before VAR.

BT Sport are discussing VAR now. Saying things like "the threshold"........what a load of nonsense, it's just another excuse to protect the refs. What we should be asking is how a team of refs can look at replays of that challenge on Azpilicueta and not think it's a penalty. I would love to hear their opinion, tell us why they thought a kick to the knee wasn't a penalty.

Well done Chelsea!

We beat 11 men, a ref and VAR today.

you mean non-VAR. I still believe TA was brought down in the box at the end of the first half. Even the silly TV Commentators had to admit that & you know they hate Chelsea, but enough of the negatives I am just happy to see Super Frank lead the club to a win & the media can STFU for a couple of days now about if Super Frank is up to the task.

I’m often bemused at just how biased the average supporter is to their team but, judging by Walton’s support of any decision his fellow refs made today, I think it’s nothing compared to the apparent referees union.

Enjoyed watching that one today, though some poor defending late in first half. The second half was much more in control. Happy for Tammy, who would not be? I believe he is a decent guy, plays hard and cares about the club and his teammates. Here’s to you, mate! Great match!

One thing you are beginning to see is how gassed our players are in the final 15-20 minutes. Frank’s style has them running early. Fortunately, today Norwich was perhaps even more tired at the end. Felt Barkley was lead footed late, struggled to move, but there was really no one to substitute. We are going to need more depth as we get into CL and domestic weekday matches.

Considering no Kante or Rudiger today, played fairly well and great to get all three points.

Love Mount. Hope his knock is not too bad and is back at it next weekend. We need him. Hopefully Pedro is not out for an extended time as well. We need the depth. Just me or does Willian look sloooooooooooooow?

I thought Kovacic had a nice game. There are times he really comes to play.

We need to keep building each week and then the return of CHO and RLC should be tremendous.

This team is very likable and fun. They just need to continue to grow.

Lastly, these are the kinds of games the past 10 years, especially last 5, we would have 75% possession, 2 shots, 55,000 passes around the box and either 1-0 win or 0-0 draw in a bore fest. We may be giving up some poor goals, at least for now, but it’s fun and you never know quite what’s going to happen ?

It’s a new era Chelsea mates, let’s enjoy the development into something special.

Come on you Chelsea!!

Yep, you’re right.

I thought some of the decisions today was almost biased against us, but the bigger picture is that Frank got his first win and his young Chelsea side will grow from today’s result.

That pass from Mount to Pulisic for our opener was quality...

that was the 2nd goal - the first one was Pulisic to Dave, who sent in a cross for Abraham to do a one touch volley & put the ball into the back of the net

He means the 1st goal ... it's the pass that gets the ball to Pulisic in the first place ...

So happy for the win, a deserved win. Tammy with a great performance, and a great goal by mount. Thought the goals we gave away were poor, especially the second as Zouma was flatfooted, and Kepa should of probably saved that.

Now onto Var. I honestly do believe we as a club need to make a stand, because its just constant with us getting screwed. That clown Walton as many of you saw even tried to justify all 4 wrong decisions by VAR, and im glad he got shut down. But the worrying thing was all 4 decisions were against us. Its hard as it is us battling to get a win, but it dont help when theres a clear vendetta against us.

The first goal was not in a different phase of play, it led to their goal, the Azpi challenge was a clear penalty and they didnt even bother to look at it, the giroud goal was a bit 50/50 but seeing as the ref actually gave the goal, they choose that moment to step in and correct it. And finally that was a clear clear stamp on mount, nowhere near the ball, and hes clearly put his foot into him. And they say nothing to see here. Like i imagine Frank to stay dignified and not even mention it, but thank f BT sport made a big enough deal about it, because these things are continually being swept under the rug.

And the nerve of that Norwich manager saying we were faking cramps, who the hell does he think.he is.

Anyway first win and im delighted
