Even though he hasn't scored yet ive been impressed. I want him to play up top though, not outwide.

Makes so many good runs, but the team arent seeing it. The team needs to be able to recognise when that pass is on. Fabregas and David Luiz would have a field day with Werner.

Ziyech will have a great link up with Timo, I'm sure, their styles complement each other well.

Should have played Marcos in but other than that no complaints, excellent game all things considered.  

Played well but struggled to beat Fabinho in a 1v1 a couple times, so Im a bit suspect on his dribbling, also needs to shoot more

They should have. They clearly have money. Just spent 65mill on 2.

He's trying really hard and I'm getting worried that he will also get injured right when Pulisic is due to come back, he's getting hit quite often. 

Tammy could start the next game, he had a good shot when he came on.

Can't fault his effort, running himself to stand still again. A few times we had the chance on the counter, just not releasing the ball early enough for him to chase, think we will get better with more game and training.

Thought Werner was absolutely amazing for you guys against Liverpool, has all the attributes you want in a forward. When he clicks with Pulisic/Havertz/Ziyech you have an elite frontline.

I'm disappointed he didn't score one yesterday.

He works hard yet does not look clinical.

I watched him for a while in Germany, if there is anything that describes Werner it is clinical. The guy scores virtually every chance he gets in his career to date. Obvs the PL is a different beast but I doubt you need to worry about his finishing.

I doubt that sort of finishing will last long. Once he's got his first he'll be off and away.

He scored against Brighton in our friendly match, the problem we had yesterday was Kova, Jorginho and Kante in midfield who for me aren't the most creative these days, that is why we need Havertz in there alongside Pulisic and Ziyech in the team.

That's putting it mildly. It is the midfield of death and I hope we don't see the same three starting together anytime soon.

When we have all players available, we should look a whole lot better and Werner will capitalise.

That's complete non-sense. Werner has always had a habit of missing plenty of chances in the Bundesliga. He is a great striker but not as good as finishing off chances as other more polished and experienced strikers. His main strength is his speed.

Aaaah, the old "Torres is still the world-class striker he always was, he's just not getting the right service from midfield" gambit.  I expect it's because Malouda won't pass to him.

Haha. It's certainly not because there was no service (could have been better no doubt) but just that it can take time to get going. The first goal and some easy matches will make a huge difference. But with the number of chances he creates for himself, it's just a matter of time before he starts firing them in.

Harsh, the best chance he missed was offside anyway, and i cant think of another chance he had other than that shot with his left foot from the edge of the area, which was a half chance at best.

Really?  Did he get flagged?  I didn't see that.  Thought the ball was played backwards to him, if anything

Anyway, I was just taking the piss, really.  That sort of open goal sitter gets missed as often as it get scored.  I am actually quite excited for Werner.  Not sure how Tammy will fare this season, but we shall see.

That still rings half true. I remember doing some analysis on his first 10 or so games for the club and the number of great runs he made to no gain was insane. Finishing aside, he should have had way more opportunities to score. Similarly, the passing from Kante, Mount, Cheek etc has been abysmal so far - angle, overweighted, underweighted - take your pick.

Havertz was the one offside, in the buildup to that chance.
