Probably a good bet that he'll be taking training tomorrow afternoon or Friday ! I can't see Boehly doing any messing around. The armoured car is probably already loaded with Brighton's £10M of compensation cash, ready for the trip to the Amex stadium ... only an hour and a quarter round the M25 and down the A23 from Cobham !
September 7, 20223 yr Is this what essentially got him fired at PSG, stifling their strong attack? Edited September 7, 20223 yr by Phillip

What's the undertone...succeed or die? This is a dog eat dog multi billion $ industry, when you invest 4 billion you expect results and you expect success. They clearly saw that the TT era had run its course and a change to be successful was required...just like when big corporations let the under performing leaders go and they move onwards and upwards...hopefully. I don't think Potter is the answer in this case but I assume the Board would have thought this through and not been as reckless as it seems on the surface...unless there was a blow up last night which caused an immediate reaction.

Feels like it set off a chain of events that culminated in this moment: Chilwell injury causes us to lose momentum, when we were firing on all cylinders up until then. Lukaku's interview causes untold damage to the dressing room, and hurts Tuchel. Russia-Ukraine war leads to sanctions against Abramovich, which impacts the club. The team weathers the storm for a while in spite of the sanctions, but the Brentford loss breaks us especially after we're eliminated from the Champions league. Meanwhile, Tuchel is dealing with a separation and divorce. New ownership change occurs in late May. The club is heavily involved in the transfer market, though some question our transfer strategy. Team performance in the new season continues to deteriorate. It's been an eventful 10 months. Tuchel was also trying to change us from a successful counter attacking side [3-4-3 or 5-3-2, etc.] and into a possession-based team and even switching to a back 4. But, We never had the firepower up front. We still don’t. AND we don’t have that quality CM to hit forward passes and make things happen. It is good that new owners are ruthless, but are they just reacting OR did they have this new manager plan all along? With Roman you always had a sense that he had a plan.

September 7, 20223 yr Would've probably preferred Zidane given his track record of successfully managing big egos in the management and players at Madrid and also getting some good results. Potter is gamble and hope he doesn't get overawed with the pressure and task at hand.
September 7, 20223 yr Todd and the new owners want to be seen as being tough and ruthless, okay, that has worked out well for us historically. But did they always have Potter in mind? Is this a plan or a reaction? With Roman you always got the feeling that it was a plan.

September 7, 20223 yr Like just about every one here, I have mixed emotions about Tt’s reign. CL super high feeling, and of course the club championship, but everything else was meh.

September 7, 20223 yr I'm still reeling. He steered us through last season which was a total sh*t show behind the scenes, and I'll never forget the Champions league win. So long TT, you're one of the good ones.
