One of the very worst things that has happened this season is them qualifying for the CL and Conte staying with them. If he is backed and get the players he wants it could be something that really affects us.

Most of the people on here aren't old enough to remember a time when Tottenham were a consistently good side, a better side than us. And I hope they never get to see it because, believe me, if they started winning trophies, their supporters would make Liverpool fans seem like reasonable, decent, fair-minded people.

He won’t get the players he wants because he has to deal with Levy, and he is never satisfied with his options. He also can’t hack it in Europe. I would be surprised to see them get out of their group, and if they do expect them to falter in the league. Fully expect a full meltdown after the transfer window closes though.

There's three reasons why Tottenham are in the CL. Conte, Kane and Son. I can't see them adding another world class player to their squad anytime soon with Levy.

The worry with Tottenham is if Radcliffe decides to actually go in and get a London club. They are prime for a billionaire owner with that stadium

They don't need wc player. All spurs need is 1 or preferably 2 good wb

If that were true. We wouldn't have sold Zouma to begin with. Tuchel has said we sold zouma because we trusted Trevoh.

Signing Kounde I don't think would have seen Trevoh depart but instead Sarr.

Nope it is going to be Trevor because Kounde is more of a rcb

Just seems i'll carry on being my petulant self, and interact as per normal😎

I know somebody who’s up for fight but he will 100% win.

Its f**king joke that we've gone from adding the supposed last piece of the puzzle in Lukaku to facing another major rebuild in less than an year. And our recent record in the transfer market inspires little confidence. It's a long grind ahead for TT.

Hope is the new owners do a lot better in the market. Though I would feel better about it if the previous scouts and board members were on the way out.

TBF even if we did challenge for the title this season and Lukaku turned out good, we were still going to have to rebuild in like a season or two. A lot of our players aren't getting any younger and there's still a lot of deadwood that's taking up space. Rudiger might also have still left since I don't think us challenging for the title would have had any bearing on him staying on the club based on his Athletic interview.

While I could agree with you, it is normal to have someone from the previous set up that knows how things work if you want a swift transition. Otherwise, it would take them longer to get grips with how things work, how the accounts look like etc I’d not be surprised if Marina and Buck were to leave after the first season, and would not be surprised if new positions such as sports director begin to be appointed within the first season. But who’s to know? We haven’t heard yet if the government has given the ok or not to the purchase, have we?

True. They could just keep Petr that is enough 😉

300k + juicy signing fee is the key here

Its more than that actually. At the start of the season we had a great defence, the best DM in the world and a bunch of promising young attackers ready to take their game to the next level buoyed by the CL win. What we lacked was a genuine goal scorer for which we added lukaku. The team was primed to take the next step in their evolution especially since we had one of the best league records since TT took over. But after our usual bright start this season, we've seen the same turgid football take hold. Even if a title challenge was unsustainable, I think we would've much preferred to see improvement in our patterns of play.

Now there is uncertainty and many departures, the coach will again have to start from scratch.

Tuchel is either following the club's instructions or he's really not aware how boring we've been playing the past few months :laugh2:

This was in relation to a huge banner made for him by "We are the Shed" group. He is hugely popular with the fans with only a small fraction not happy.
