Kane won't get his move, Levy's demands will be far too unrealistic especially to other English clubs.

Furthermore he won't come here out of loyalty to Spurs, if I was a world class player and Chelsea weren't matching my ambition i may decide to leave (or wouldn't come if i was playing elsewhere) at some point but it would never be to a rival.

That's why I think there's little chance of Haaland. His Leeds fandom won't make him go to Leeds but it would certainly stop him coming here.

Even if we offered more money than City or United, we still wouldn't get Kane. Levy would never sell to us and I don't think Kane would ever join us. Too much has happened between us and Tottenham since he's been there.

I don't think Haaland would care about the Chelsea and Leeds rivalry though. Most players don't care about that, if they did, Pepe would never have joined Arsenal and Shaw would never have joined United seeing as they were both Chelsea fans. Also, Haaland can't possibly understand the rivalry between us and Leeds, he never lived through it. He grew up watching Leeds in the Championship, the only competitive game he has watched between the two was a League Cup match back in 2012. Before that, the last time we played them was in 2004, when he was only 3 years old.

Even my own memories of the rivalry are fuzzy now. I can remember moments in the late 90's and early 2000's, but it's tailed off considerably since they were relegated. It's mostly the older fans that carry that rivalry now.

I’m not sure Pep wants a striker, but if he does then that’s that he’s going to City.  Then there’s Utd who wasn’t willing to spend on Sancho, but maybe the Glazers will now pretend to be good owners and splash the cash to avoid the fans trashing the place.  Hopefully Pep prefers another number 10 and the Glazers prefer a new yacht.

I'm one of those that wouldn't even want Harry Kane. Good striker but ultimately won't win you anything and from what I saw he chokes in big games.

Never gonna happen it would be like Shearer joining Sunderland. He's no Sol Campbell he's City bound if he leaves.

Made a mistake in earlier post 😆

I think there's a chance. Even though it might be difficult with Levy in charge, I don't think he will deny Kane's choices given everything that happened with the Super League. We also have the advantage of him staying in London.

I think there is also a great chance, Dortmund will sell Haaland, or lose massive money at the end of 21-22 season, and i can see him going to City, the glazers are just to tight to spunk 120 million on a Striker, Utd might prioritise Sancho now they have Cavani for a year longer

Agree fully on this. Even if Levy agreed to sell and got the price he wanted out of respect Kane wont come to us when he likely could go to City or United.

Furthermore if Kane has any sense in him whatsoever he has to be telling his agents to be driving home hard to Levy, Pep and everybody at city just how badly he wants to go there.

On a 5 year deal he is as close to guaranteed as it can be that he picks up winners medals on the PL, League cup and FA cup and darn good chance in the CL too. Multiples of all most likely.

Calling the deal right now. Money plus Sterling for Kane.

i personally think that Utd don't need a striker, the Glazers won't spunk 120 million on a striker, f**k knows how much Cavani is on, plus Rashford and the emergence of Greenwood, think its media hyping up its, they might spend on a new Defender?

Your starting st is 34. Rashford and Martial are not Strikes, greenwood is 21 and can play on the wing.

United main need is st not defender

Not a chance he signs for us, he clearly has a ton of respect for Spurs, just going by how long he’s stuck it out hoping the following season will be the one they make the step to the next level. For me, that respect means he won’t sign for us, probably their most bitter rival - Arsenal are their biggest rivals, (very) local and have the history, but there is genuine bad blood between us and them, we despise each other.

Word is Levy is feeling out for strikers to bring in as a replacement already, so it looks it may well happen. I can’t see it being anybody but City, he’s guaranteed to challenge for every trophy year in year out at a club that spends constantly on the team.

It's never impossible to buy a player but with Kane there's homegrown tax, rivalry tax and Levy being a bastard tax. We could end up spending all of £150m + a player to get him.

For all the money we would blow on a bid for Kane, we could actually compete with City for Haaland, then there's also Lukaku who would be quite a bit cheaper.

So our rivals will get world class forwards and we get United's flop for tons of money.

If United get Kane, City get Haaland and we end up with Lukaku, we'd be utterly f**ked. Just the idea of that happening depresses me to the point of despair.

All these Kane rumours to us are very premature, lose or draw tonight and we wont be dining at the top table for any striker, it will be the Andy Carrolls of this world unfortunately.

Lukaku is my third choice but he is premier league proven, sure he kind of flopped at Utd but that could be a club specific thing, I don't know if the undiagnosed digestive issue really affected him that much but if it did then that's an acceptable excuse for being overweight and poor. He's improved since then.

He's going to be cheaper* as well (probably still £90-100m as opposed to £120+ for the other 2)
But yes I still hate his first touch, don't like his attitude, don't think he's a big game player but we need a top striker this season or we risk not being competitive again.

Buying Lukaku would mean being stuck with him for the foreseeable future. His sure to be huge contract plus enormous fee we'd have to part with will make sure of that. If there's a choice between signing Lukaku and staying put, I'd prefer to sign nobody and wait for somebody else. I think our fans are so frustrated with our struggles in front of goal, they're desperate for anyone to come and solve this issue. But signing Lukaku isn't the answer, he's a limited player with a shocking touch.

Also, how could he be PL proven and a United flop at the same time? I thought PL proven means he was a success. Otherwise we could say Morata is also PL proven, since he also used played in the PL.

I also don't think he's improved much, it's more of a case of looking good in a weak league. Apart from Juve, Serie A are a shadow of what it used to be.

Definitly going.

Whoever gets him will be favorites for the title. United would be if they do and we would if we somehow got him.
