Surely don’t you watch the matches?? Bruno scores less almost none now the left and right forward had to be change to suit Ronaldo. Man u team last year and this are different. Cavani don’t play anymore, pogba / bruno new position. 
i bet you if Ronaldo would play for Chelsea he would be sh** as well. Who gonna send him the ball or giving him the pass? Mount is Selfish and can’t shoots.

We actually have a handful of defenders actually. Ampadu will return, Chillwell will have recovered yet it is hard to say how long it will take to recover his form and that's if he ever does recover his top form. Reece can play in a 3 and Alonso who every season people write off has actually performed admirably when called on. He has his limitations but I rate him in the current system when he's a wingback not a fullback. Azpil may yet stay and he's been solid at rcb, average at wb but he does get a goal or two.

We will go again for Koundé, sadly we have less leverage than in the summer so may end up paying more. Or it could be like Sancho and utd where waiting an extra year means its closer to his contract finishing meaning we could save a couple quid.

After Koundé which I assume is our priority signing we will look for another cb. Add in the academy lads and things aren't as bad as you seem to think they are.

Think he thought about the moment last match when Mount tried to score a screamer of a goal instead of passing to the quite free standing Lukaku right next to the goal which I do think is a viable point to make. Still, his shooting technique is amazing (and he almost scored that screamer too). Lucky for us we still got that win.

I do. And his "service" is McFred and a greedy Bruno and let's not get started on the fullbacks.

I've seen a lot of analysis where those players above 'could' have played Ronaldo in and didn't. But it's never used as an excuse for him because he delivers regardless.

I'm glad you mention Cavani, another player who played well and delivered the goods despite those same issues because he, wait for it, doesn't need perfect circumstances to do his job.

There's no one to blame for Lukaku's inability to control a football and breaking constant negative records other than the guy himself. Funny how Kai (someone you blamed for Lukaku's incompetence) didn't need perfect circumstances to score goals and have more than 10 touches a game when he was up top isn't it?

Ronaldo even as a 37 has 16 PL goals and 22 in total, I mean I really can't remember anyone else doing that. No matter how people feel about Ronaldo, when it comes to him being the player on the pitch, he's arguably the best European player ever to play the game. 

It's laughable that at some point Lukaku saw himself as being comparable. He's weak mentally and his style of play is outdated as soon as he stops being under heavy diet management and so on. Ronaldo after winning the CL the very next day goes to the gym, Lukaku hasn't shown any real champion mentality since he came here.

Regardless of Ronaldo's finishing..which ofc is still world class. They conceded lots (what's the GD? +2 or so which is strictly laughable) and as much as he's responsible for scoring a ton of goals imho he is also part of a team that is totally unbalanced and unable to defend coherently. So imho the whole premise of having a team build around him is a false one. Nevermind he was the latest addition to the squad as well. 

Imagine coming to the theshedend to proclaim we should set the team up like utd!!

Lukaku doesn't press and offers zero movement. And ignoring the blatantly obvious Ronaldo is a a phenomenal footballer whereas Lukaku never was.

Exactly. 29-30year old Ronaldo scored obscene numbers. Any team would want to supply him. He also wasn't a baby that cried back to former clubs when the going gets tough.

I remember a few months back i was effectively accused of double standards because I didn't moan about Hazard's lack of pressing/workrate.

If Lukaku delivered the level of substance Eden did (and I'm not just talking goals and assists) he can be as lazy as he likes just like he'd get cut a bit of slack for his performances if he worked like Mount.

To lack both at the same time is unforgivable.

Agree and I was open to Hazard leaving due to him slowing down the game. We did ok during Lampard's first season too.

If Lukaku puts in those recent headers he has been missing the negative comments would stop.

I'm hoping he has turned a corner and realises even in cameos he needs to put in an effort and make a difference.

 

If he doesn't contribute with any goal before the season ends, well... Call me biased but he was brought to score goals and even if he does end up looking better in his next team, to me that alone won't mean much.

He would then say how it was the team that was the problem but I know that here in CFC he had several players working around him and he failed to do his job.

50m for Lukaku would be a dream but i doubt anyone would be willing to pay that or any amount for that reason. Probably loaning him is our only option but i don't know how i feel about that, i would rather keep him. Hopefully, next year he can learn from Broja a thing or two that you need to put an effort.

Unfortunately for us he's been so detrimental that even getting rid on a free transfer would somehow hurt less than having him around stinking up the place next season.

We are still liable for the remaining transfer fee!

Let’s hope Conte jumps ship to PSG and buys him. I can’t see any other possible resolution unfortunately. We’re stuck with him.
