Just watching GMB. Andrew Pierce ( mail) is commenting on the story of the footballer coming out. Which is a good news story. At this point being a Mail journalist he couldn’t help himself and proceeds to tell us,he doesn’t go to football but just happened to go to a match Chelsea/ Tottenham (he can’t remember which)and he was shocked to hear the referee was called a ‘f**king queer’ every time he gave a decision the fans didn’t like. No mention of the likely rent boy chant. I’m calling this story like a lot of stuff in the Mail bullsh*t, now I’ve not been in any ground in years but regularly attended in what was the bad times, I can in all honesty not remember a homophobic chant ever being directed at the referee.
