Can’t believe we will let Sevilla and Barca do this to us.. years back we almost signed Dani Alves.. Sevilla had announced it too.. before he went to Barca last minute and we ended up with Belotti.. and never solved our RB problem till Azpi and Iva…

So let's stop going for the pin up boys who have never shown any ability at this level.

Why would we entertain paying this amount of money on a kid that has done fck all and has never shown any ability to be able to play at an elite level.

If Koundè's side stalls the transfer because he prefers Barca and they are in his head, then we should be aware of that. I think the best chance we have is to put pressure on him to decide quickly, while Barca isn't financially ready. It is in Sevilla's interest too, because if we move away Barca gets an advantage in the negotiations with them, when they are the only interested party. If we are unsuccesful then just move onto the next target.

How we didn't even look at Bissouma beggars belief. That was an early indication for me.

Same about this Cucurella. We won't even have a look, even though Alonso,  Kennedy and Rahnan need ro be shown the door and Chilwell will break again.

With the exception of Richarlison I would have been happy with every siging spuds have made

But surely that's what we were buggering around doing lthis rime last week including Tuchel phoning him directly apparently.

Monchi has to be strict on the fee as Bordeaux  are due a sell on fee as well. So for both their sakes and Sevillas Kounde won't go cheap.

TBF Arsenal and Spurs are signing mediocre players no one is interested in that's why it is easy. Us having competition from Europe's top clubs shows that we are in the right direction. We have no control over what the player ultimately decides, I wouldn't blame out transfer strategy.

I think people on here forget, that if I remember correctly we dragged Mikel out his medical with Man Utd or near as damn it, and we did it with Willian from Spurs...so we've got form for doing what Barca are doing to us.

The one thing I would criticise is how long it's taking. When Barcelona were wrapping up the signing of Rafinha, we should have been all over Kounde, but we were waiting to see if we could get De Ligt, then when there was no chance of that happening, we focused our attention on Ake. All of this dilly-dallying when we could have just gone for our original target from the start, a player we tried to sign last season.

I think Perisic would have been a decent squad player. He would have been a really good option to rotate into the squad when James or Chilwell need a rest or get injured.

We had something similar for filling out cheques and also for producing contracts when I was on the Stock Exchange.  You would type in what you want and then stand waiting for it to work through
