Selling Colwill to then spend £90m on Gvardiol would be some of the most brain dead planning we could do

We'd have three left footed CB's, overkill to have Badiashile, Colwill and Gvardiol

I don't get it with Chalobah... he is head and shoulders above what we purchased,  look at his record.....  yes he has a mistake in him but even JT had a mistake or two in him especially in his early career. 

 JT learned from Desailly, Lebouef etc.  Frank from Zola, Deschamps etc.  Seems like there is none of this going on as far as I can tell, give him to Silva as a project ?  Maybe  I am speaking out of turn, maybe he is ?

Don't get it myself as well. 

Has played RB in James' absence and looked very good. Dropped suddenly. 

Was arguably our best CB as well before the WC. Dropped suddenly. 

 

At his best he is a fantastic squad option and can prove to be reliable. 

With James announced as doubtful for the Leeds game, and Azpi still out, Chalobah must be nailed on for another outing at right back on Saturday.

Why would you risk James, with Dortmund on Tuesday in the immediate radar as a far more important fixture ?

The obvious answers being the transfer fee and the competition for Gvaridol will be much higher.

It's not hard to see plenty of Italian clubs moving for Koulibaly albeit they'll likely want us to subsidise his wages.

No Italian club has a shot at Gvardiol

Trev is a class act on and off the pitch. Imo he should be playing often, he is the only natural DM we have.

A lot of current and ex players do them, it's not picked up by news outlets because it isn't news.

Wonder if there is any truth to the rumors Chalobah has been leaking stuff to journos/media. Fits in to the moment he's randomly been dropped. 

Thought he was great today, been shifted about positions all season and always puts in a good shift. Shouldn’t even consider selling him.

More ambition to make things happen in the box than the rest of the team combined, and this was in a back 4 formation where we shouldn't need to have our CB's getting so involved in the attacking phase of the game.

I wish someone would try him for a run of games at DM. Might solve a lot of issues if it works ... 

I admire his effort and drive and nice assist for the first goal.  To me, he is exactly what we need as a squad player.

There would be teething issues but I agree, think he would flourish there. His attitude is always spot on.

I think he should stay as he's been a valuable asset these past couple of years but I can see a scenario where the club are forced to sell.

One of the last players we should be selling. We can’t sell all our Crown Jewels for a short term profit, home grown players are sold at a premium in the market. 

I rather we keep him to be honest, or at least give Pochettino time to evaluate him during pre-season. I think it be a disaster if we let Mount, Gallagher, Chalobah all go in the same window. These are the players we meant to be part of the building block for the next 5-10 years, and there are worse players we need to offload than these 3.
