We are far to plodding in possession, we aren't going to create chances like that against low block teams. Everyone is being chewed out. It's just a terrible team performance all around. Our CBs were saved by Juve having sh*te forwards too

September 29, 20214 yr Lot of criticism of the team tonight but I have never seen a brick wall quite like that tonight. Juve did a job on us…….. next !
September 29, 20214 yr Don’t understand the criticism for lukaku and it seems a tough system for forward players.. with Jorginho and Kova the opposition has nothing to worry from the mid of the field.. and overload the ride areas.. our fullbacks today got doubled team every time they touched.. mount with his movement usually provides cover and decoy.. that is not havertz game..

They parked the bus and we couldn't break them down, the same issues we had with compact teams last season. There's zero creativity in midfield and the wingers aren't also helping matters. That's what pisses me off the most. They played like Burnley at home and we can't even be bothered to have urgency in the first half and wasn't even focused when they scored the first goal.

I don’t blame the manager starting ziyech and co ahead of him. He needs to be more consistent and play the way he played today more often if he wants to start. We gotta give him some time playing on the left. But getting 15 minutes here and there as a RWB isn't exactly getting great opportunities. I do agree, however, that you do have to make the most of the opportunities give to you. So, in that regard, I'd like to see a lot more out of EVERYONE

It's basically the same tactics that got us multiple goals. Last season we got tons of chances playing this exact system. The difference is no one found any solution to Juve's challenges today.

Not sure I agree. I don't think Juventus just parked the bus, they defended well, and I think that's what separates top teams parking the bus versus teams like Burnley, west brom etc. It was almost similar to our defensive display against Liverpool. September 29, 20214 yr Utterly pointless blaming Lukaku for tonight. He was offered nothing bar that late chance. Havertz, Kovacic, Jorginho and Ziyech were pedestrian and turgid and there was bugger all quality from the wing backs. It's hard to recall another performance where we played utterly into the hands of the opposition. Juventus probably sat in the dressing room at half time delighted at how we were passing the ball around in front of a back line that could keep us out for 8 weeks due to the total lack of creativity we had.

When we played Werner, Mount, havertz, you’ve got rubs from mid field bevsyse the wing backs push up taking away 2 men, then 3 dynamic players, Werner runs, Mount tucking in to carry the ball, havertz making movements in and around the box. Teams can’t Live with that, super quick transitions, turn over of play and 3 or 4 options, It’s a nightmare to defend...now pass to a big horse and watch him try and spin players, nothing like the same level of football
September 29, 20214 yr We know what we are and you know what the rest of the chant is toothless tonight and Saturday but we love a crisis whether minor or major and we'll always come out on top KTBFFH

It’s not about blaming him as an individual it’s the fact that having to play everything through him destroys our creative football, no overlapping wing backs runs, no runners off the ball, no short runs around the box, it’s killed our style of football.
September 29, 20214 yr Great defensive job by Juve, but we have been struggling against any defensive team for some seasons now and Tuchel is not capable of changing this. We have great attacking players but they can’t dribble, and without dribbling we can’t disorganise a drilled defence. The only one that can take one on one seems to be Pulisic and he is constantly injured. CHO used to be a good player to take on defenders but has lost his mojo. Other than that, we rely in passes between players and crosses to packed areas. Easy to defend. That’s what Hazard did for us, great dribbler that would make spaces by taking out defenders with his dribbling, imo.

This just isn't accurate and seems like a narrative that the people who don't want Lukaku are building. The team has been doing all that and more in previous matches that we have won. Just because our attacking players haven't performed well in the last few games, that doesn't mean Lukaku is the cause.

Most of that comes down do our midfield to be honest. It hasn't been good enough creatively. Look how much more we created once RLC came on for example. We played the first hour with Ziyech as our creative mid and he has been woeful of late. Plus our 2 full backs were hardly flying down the flanks at that point either. I am hoping to see RLC, Chilwell, and CHO start at the weekend.
September 29, 20214 yr I can't remotely see how Lukaku playing somehow stops our wing backs overlapping or runs off the ball.

September 29, 20214 yr What an absolute pile of sh*t performance that was. Havertz needs to actually do something other than living off the final goal, he’s offered nothing all season. Ziyech I’m close to giving up on, he’s supposed to have provided a creative edge but he offered zero all game. Don’t even get me started on those subs from Tuchel, Barkley might have wearing socks like Jack Grealish but he still plays like Ross Barkley.
