May 21, 20242 yr Yep, this guy bleeds blue. Check out that block against Bournemouth in the last game. You can't teach that to a player - he's got the desire and passion of a Chelsea fan on the pitch. Terrible decision to let him go. The owners will regret it in more ways than one. Well played Conor, thanks for everything.
May 21, 20242 yr The next breaking news of this week will be Gallagher to sold to _______ Just don't sell him to Spurs, have a bit of dignity FFS
May 21, 20242 yr Yep, 100% will be sold now. I always thought this was going to be the case anyway. Nothing new on a new contract, complete silence, it almost always results in the player being sold. All because these idiots went on a crazy spending spree that was never needed.
May 21, 20242 yr I bet this was a lot about Conor. Poch wanting to keep him and those two sporting director idiots need to sell him due to their ridiculous spending spree gamble. Dick heads.

Ugochukwu, Angelo, Santos, Washington, maybe a few more. No offence to them, but they weren't needed, and we threw away silly money to sign them and now have to sell players that are better than them.
May 22, 20242 yr Selling Conor will be the icing on the cake for these f**king owners. Never been so disillusioned by this club.
May 22, 20242 yr Genuinely think the pending sale of Conor may be the end of my rope. Not at all the club I've supported for the past 14 years. Ex players like JT need to speak up and speak out about how poorly these owners are running the club.

Villa have champions league money they can use as well, and relations between the clubs is good, going back to Carneys move here. 14 minutes ago, Jezz said: Selling him to Spurs is unforgivable. Cannot see Levy paying us a good fee. If they end up the only ones in for him with 1 year left on his deal however...

A player who genuinely seems to care about the club, and has a connection with the fans. Not to mention one of our few midfielders that has been generally available to play most games. If he is sold it will force the next manager to somehow make the Enzo/Caicedo midfield combination work. What could go wrong?

May 22, 20242 yr Offering Conor a new contract immediately would be a masterstroke by the board. They'd win back the large majority of the fanbase with that one decision alone and Poch would start to become a distant memory. Will they have the foresight to do it though? Highly unlikely. The chance are that they're going to stick two fingers up at the fans and piss us off even more by selling him. And Trevoh too!

Mainly because they're complete w**kers.
May 22, 20242 yr Surely we can make enough money from selling Chalobah, Maatsen, Broja, etc.. to keep Gallagher.

I believe this was one of the sticking points and fairs to Poch for not backing down.

Bang on Scott, imagine City, Arsenal etc having to sell a club favourite just to balance the books due to ridiculous overspending. It's so frustrating that the owners have taken us so close to breaking the rules that we are forced to sell players. I keep banging on about it but... We were debt free when they bought us.
May 30, 20242 yr I’ve already resigned myself to him and Trev being sold along with Maatsen & Hutchinson etc. they have no dissenting voices at club now they’re all aligned to bring anti success to the club. Can’t wait to see the players they bring in to replace them - the logic being sell top class academy products for pure profit to offset over spending. Purchase replacement squad players that are not as good for more fees than the sales, yet amortize that variance with a multi year contract. Instant financial gratification !
