December 19, 20214 yr Warning bells for Tuchel are starting to ominously tinkle, although no recognised striker is hurting us, bad bad move to sell Tammy.
December 19, 20214 yr Getting hooked at half time is often sign of the manager’s dissatisfaction and a blow to the player’s confidence, but getting hooked for Saul takes that to a whole new level.

December 19, 20214 yr I'm starting to think it was TT that insisted on bringing in Saul. I can't think of any other reason why he would keep playing him. I suppose TT could have fully formed double cataracts or something. Actually maybe both of them do ?
December 19, 20214 yr Not sure what Chelsea I’m watching, so dis- organised, and non functioning, you’d think this was Tuchel getting used to his players???

Didn't he pick up a knock in the first half? (I can't find a stream but I swear i saw it on live text). That plus a recent return from injury has probably/hopefully led to TT playing safe. December 19, 20214 yr Presumably this means that Kovacic isn't even fit enough for 45 minutes ? I still don't get why Barkley wouldn't be the better option than Saul though. Or even Bettinelli come to that :-)
December 19, 20214 yr Again best chance comes to = full back. First Pulisic tried to assist James and now Alonso in a small offside hitting the post. This tactic only enables full backs...

December 19, 20214 yr Pretty clear the bench was a case of making of the numbers. Most of them are not fit enough to play. But it does raise a few questions: 1) Why did the Premier League refuse our request to call the game off under these circumstances when they have been so quick to call off games for teams like United. 2) Why did we wait to the last minute to request the postponement? This reminds me of the way the club has desperately searched for a last minute signing in the last minute of a transfer window. 3) Knowing we were short a number of players why didn't we bring some additional players from the academy just in case? Surely that would have been better than putting somebody on the bench who is not fit enough?
December 19, 20214 yr Dunno what is going on at City, but they don't seem to drop points. Pissing me off. The quicker they lose pep, the better.

They are one of the few teams that genuinely has a huge squad. They have been picking up near to 90 points or more a season in the league now for several years and look to be on target for something similar again. That is the bar we are trying to reach.

I thought he was injured. He seemed to be struggling after colliding with Thiago Silva.
