Saul's versatility came in handy, all subs were done for the other side while he's trusted there on the left, routine win. Now hoping Rice stops Liverpool, if he does that we could be only 5 points behind which is pretty doable to challenge that second place!

This game went from one where I was dozing off in moments to one where I'm so energized I don't know what to do

I'm stil wondering what happened after the break.

I could see Lukaku being sold after this season.  He is out of favor, too static, and we seem to do better without him.

Money should go to getting depth at wingback.

Goals change games… Reece capped a fine performance with a good solo

Thiago kept us water tight first half  after an insipid performance by the forwards

Second half we upped it when the space was available 

Good three points given off field distractions, on to Norwich to capitalise on their woes

 

 

MOTM is a tough call.

Havertz 2 goals

James 1 goal, 1 assist

Pulisic 1 goal, 1 assist.

Nice result, credit to Reece James for getting the first important goal with trickery on the right.

Havertz took his goals well too.

Good to be able to relax in the 2nd half.

Thiago Silva for me. The only player in the first half that actually looked interested. A goal line clearance and a few other vital clearances too.

Ahh, that is a very good shout. Without that goal line clearance we probably would have lost this game.

So we look much, much better with just one of our wingbacks back. To no ones surprise.

With Chilwell and James in the side we would have challenged City this season. Also why this whining about our style of play have been so bloody tedious as James and Chilwell being out has hurt us so much.

I agree, but we should really learn to adapt without them. There has to be a solid plan B in place to keep us competitive,
