To be honest I'm still in some sort of denial, as if waiting for all this Russian debacle to end and somehow the club stays or goes back to Roman's hand after all. Seeing Boehly there was just wrong somehow, even though it finally sets us back in track.

It was always a pleasure seeing his reactions and how he handled himself so I really really missed seeing him during our matches.

The way he's been treated the last few years was absurd imo and honestly he should've sold the club when the govt made sure he would never be able to go back into the country. It's awful that it had to end like this when we've been truly blessed to have had him all this period. I'll always associate the words "brilliant owner" with this passionate man, who always strives for the best even when everything and everyone is against him.

Thanks for everything, Roman! I truly hope you'll come back one day to see everything you helped to build as the club gets bigger and bigger! Sit back, relax and be so damn proud of your achievements. Always a blue! 💙

Going to miss him. Until the boehly deal was announced last week I kept hoping this would somehow get turned around and we could having Roman around.

Hope to see him back at the bridge as a fan one day. And I hope the roman empire banner remains.

Thanks for all the memories Roman!

Really going to miss Roman at the club, he was tbe best bar none. Hope he does an interview talking about his time here, as despite him making us successful beyond my wildest dreams, i still dont know much about him, probably know more about Boehly tbh.

I always hoped his son would take the reigns, and who knows what the future holds. Cheers for the memories Roman, especially the one 10 years ago today, which is one of the best nights of my life.

An amazing man and not guilty at all of any wrongdoing.

The facts are on the record.

Will always have love and respect from the Chelsea fans for everything that he has done for the club.

No other owner is fit to be the dirt underneath his fingernail.

Thanks for everything, Roman. What a ride it was!

Didn't always agree with everything he did, but he always made decisions with the best interests of the club at heart.

The fanbase will always be grateful for everything he brought to the club. A legacy that will never be forgotten or unappreciated.

Best owner we ever had, maybe ever will have. Just because his political affiliation, fans arent allowed to sing his name during games, owe him a big thanks, which probably won't be able to acknowledge in public in the current era.

I imagine this is not the way Roman would've wanted his Chelsea career to end and if he had the choice would've sold us through his own decision, or stayed here until he died. It's fitting though that he leaves us at a time when we are reigning World + European Champions. There is simply no better way for him to bow out.

If he had sold the club under different circumstances I imagine there would be a statue or a stand named after him at the ground. As it is, I can't see the club doing anything like that now, because of all the bad PR that would come with it.

In my opinion he is as big, if not a bigger legend than some of the players and managers we have had over the years. Yes the players and managers worked hard to achieve the success on the pitch but none of it would have been possible if not for Roman. We have had 20 years of domestic and European success, and we have one of if not the best academy in the world.

Thank you Roman, for turning our dreams into realities and helping turn Chelsea into a European giant.

I am cautiously optimistic for the future under Boehly and his consortium, but they have some work to do before they reach Roman's level.

Statement from Roman Abramovich - best owner ever. No contest.

It has been nearly three months since I announced my intention to sell Chelsea FC. During this time, the team have worked hard to find the right custodian for Chelsea FC that would be best positioned to successfully lead the Club into its next chapter.

The ownership of this Club comes with great responsibility. Since I came to Chelsea nearly twenty years ago, I have witnessed first-hand what this Club can achieve. My goal has been to ensure that the next owner has a mindset that will enable success for the Men’s and Women’s team, as well as the will and drive to continue developing other key aspects of the Club, such as the Academy and the vital work of Chelsea Foundation.

I am pleased this search has now come to a successful conclusion. As I hand over Chelsea to its new custodians, I would like to wish them the best of success, both on and off the pitch.

It has been an honour of a lifetime to be a part of this Club – I would like to thank all the Club’s past and current players, staff, and of course fans for these incredible years.

I am proud that as a result of our joint successes, millions of people will now benefit from the new charitable foundation which is being established. This is the legacy which we have created together.

Thank you.

Classy owner and the envy of all. Thank you Roman for these years.

Class until the end. Always remember the early years. The joy, the passion, the excitement and even the devastation of his reaction to games.

Him, Frank and JT in front of our fans at Bolton.

Wonderful memories. Sadly the world changed and our government made him unwelcome and we rarely saw him at games anymore. And that robbed us of someone special.

He departs a European and World champion. Fitting, sadly a slow death as the government limited his match day involvement and now have had him removed.

Thank you Roman, you made everything about our club better.

The least Roman deserve is a standing ovation from the Chelsea faithful, whatever alleged affiliation he had with Putin doesn't take away what he has done for the club and the wider Community . JT was spot on, Roman is the best owner we ever had, and the fact that comment was considered controversial just show how f* up the PC media and pundits are.

Thank you for everything Roman. Truly one of us. Just terrible how the government and media has treated you.

Completely agree, how about Chelsea at least naming one of the stands after the great man.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before.

Thank you Roman for the greatest years of our lives

Just remember when you go to vote exactly how this government treated you, our club and especially our Roman.

Even today then needed to take another baseless dig at him while trying to make themselves look like heros.
