Hmmm I noticed since this post no one has commented about the racial abuse he received after the game, hmmmm

Wesley should not be playing for chels simple as that but racist abuse is not tolerated we have to stamp it out.

All those on here who don’t like him because of his driving history and his terrible footballing decisions ME INCLUDED, should also take the time to condemn the racist abuse he has received, like Caps Lock King has

We have Sarr and Acheampong and Colwill is going to be back fit again soon.

If there is ever a time to sell the clowns in the squad, now it is the moment to do it. Tosin, Fofana, Chalobah, Disasi and Badiashile must go. Invest the money in two quality center backs. Murillo, van de Ven, Kim Min Jae are some of the options that are accessible and we should look at.

I am just sick and tired of all the disastrous options we have at the center back currently. Excluding the youngsters Sarr and Acheampong. They are absolute dross, mid table quality.

Wanting to sell Chalobah then bring in Murillo or Kim is funny

Racism is bad, everyone knows that. Let’s focus on how he cost us another game and has milked £200k a week off us whilst barely playing and being absolutely dog sh*t though.

In the statement they said... "Chelsea Football Club is appalled and disgusted by vile online racist abuse directed at Wesley Fofana."

And yet...

Chelsea take no action against Enzo Fernandez for singing...

Chelsea will take no action against Enzo Fernandez for singing a derogatory song about France's black players, after he apologised to several French team-mates.

It's gonna be nearly impossible to sell him I think with his injury record and wages. He's not a terrible defender but he's not somebody we can rely on. As wasteful as we were up top yesterday it was Fofana that cost us the game, simple as that.

no one should be subjected to this, unfortunately no one seems to get caught and the usual suspects are calling on the companies involved to chase these people down.

i dont know if anyone can confirm this but i was told that a lot of these things are bots set up to do this sort of thing, mostly from abroad and are impossible to stop, if true then the only way to avoid it is to stay off social media

Why do we need to comment on it? We all know racism is bad.

I was at the game, didn’t hear any racial abuse but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

Felt he played ok, didn’t have a lot to do defensively. He was marking their forward who was putting himself about. Can’t believe Wesley got 2 yellows and he never got booked but nothing either player deserved to get sent off for.

I’m surprised Sarr didn’t start, thought he looked good the other day. Let’s get a settled team and some relationships going.

Not on social media so don’t see what these cowards in front of their screens do. This is the only forum I follow and although some get involved in arguments and personal insults, it doesn’t involve racism. I don’t hear at the game.

Some of our most popular players are black. I bet these same people cheer and sing their names. Then if they do something wrong go down the racist route of abuse.

Fofana made a bad decision, with what’s happened off the pitch as well he needs to look at himself, but it doesn’t involve his colour or ethnicity.

I understand that people are miffed with the result yesterday, me included. But Fofana didn't cost us the 3 points. We had about 8 defenders on when Burnley scored from a set piece. If with so many defenders on and Fleming gets a free header from a corner, makes no difference if he is on the pitch or not. Crap marking, midfielders standing still, nobody picking up their biggest threat from a corner. We threw away 2 points against Leeds with 11 men on the pitch. We have been throwing away points all season. Imagine if we had some wise older heads in the squad. A couple of defenders who know how to see out a game.

As an aside, I see the sporting directors/owners are not content with screwing up the men's team, they have turned their considerable talents for making sh*t decisions to the women's team now.

Racial abuse is abhorrent, that goes without saying, but I haven't seen it so can't comment anymore than that.

Fofana single handedly cost us the game. Gave Burnley all the impetus and a man down.

Will have to agree to disagree. In truth, by the time Fofana got sent off, we should have put Burnley to the sword. We were abject for most of the game as far as getting a second. We don't like a low block.

If his sending off cost us the game then we have far bigger problems than first thought.

We have been letting opposition players get free headers in our box at the far post of years this is not a Fofana thing. Some of you are just using this as the perfect opportunity to scapegoat him.

He’s still by far our best defender at the club. I know some of you probably don’t like hearing that but there isn’t a defender at the club as good as him including Colwill.

Politely, don’t think I could disagree more.

He’s the most athletic of our current defenders, probably.

But the best?

His football IQ is non existent, he can’t read the game at all which leads to his positioning being god awful, he’s so rash with every tackle he makes it’s always jumping in overextending, he’s piss poor in the air when you take into account his height and he’s very very lightweight. Add all of that to this superstar attitude he has and you’re left with an absolute liability on the pitch.

Colwill, Sarr, Chalobah are all well clear of him and tbh with the glimpses we’ve seen giving his minutes to Josh would be a better long term solution.

Thick as f**k both on and off the pitch. Should be moved on with Badiashille, Disasi & Tosin in the summer

No he didn't. How?

By getting himself needlessly sent off, obviously. What CB with any football IQ do you know that would chase an opposition into their own half, massively out of position, and go through someone on a yellow? Brain dead.

Being athletic doesn’t make you a good defender, his reading of the game is some of the worst I’ve seen. He’s an expensive Kurt Zouma.
