Got to love how Pep could over complicates football and ended up losing a game he should never lost. No chance Spurs will break City down, only chance they'd win is an early goal via City mistake and holding out the game.  City over passed in the back and gifted the lead. When you have Haland in the team, you just need feed him chances, he'd love a scrap with defenders. Instead, City treated him as a false 9 and passed around him, he didn't even have a shot on goal 😅. City's focus will be on the CL, although still a long way to go Arsenal may just get there because they will want it a lot more.

Man City are now what United were with Ruud Van Nistelrooy, one dimensional. As good of a striker as he was, United went up many levels once they sold him.

I don't want him back. I don't want us playing like that with all of the attacking players we have. That is how Tottenham play most weeks under Conte, even against supposed inferior competition. I like counter attacking football now and again, but I would rather it be a weapon of ours rather than our default play style.

Also, at the slight hint of trouble, we can expect the usual defeatist Conte to come out, just like last time. We have already seen it many times at Tottenham.

I doubt it and even if we do get charged it wouldn't be for 5 different things like City have got.

Think this is more to do with the cooking of the books that they have been doing, rather than the actual spending side of things although they do go hand in hand. 

They have created fake companies and sponsors which is how they have been able to post that their revenue is the best in the world despite having a small fanbase (compared to "super" clubs like Barca, Madrid, United etc). Higher revenue allows higher spending, and therefore makes them look as though they have been compliant with various rules and regulations.

Potential punishments could be: Kicked out of the Premier League, a points deduction, or a fine. A fine would be laughable, if these charges are followed through I wouldn't be surprised if they are relegated or given a points deduction. 

City's charges span from 2009-2018. I think because it spans such a long time there will be quite a hefty punishment. 

Unless similar accusations have been thrown at us with regards to cooking the books, then I think we will be ok.

To all those saying we’ll be next. This is a list of transfer sales since 2010. Notice who isn’t on the list. Their revenue comes from bent sponsorship deals.

I don't think we are flavour of the month though for us with amortising players sign on fees is seen a as loophole. 

With City the best punishment would be a transfer ban like we had, if they think their action is worse extend the transfer ban.

True, there's a difference between exploiting a loophole though which every team could have done if they were clever enough to recognise it and intentionally cooking your books to make it look as though your bank balance is significantly higher than it is. 

UEFA tried to throw the book at City a few years ago and didn't really get anywhere with it. If the FA make this stick I am curious as to what the punishment will be. A fine and a transfer ban would be soft on City in my opinion.

I think a 12 month transfer ban would hurt them just now.

Haaland not firing, Cancelo gone and rumours about Bernardo. 

Aren't these basically the same charges that UEFA hit City with a year or 2 ago? If so City won that case after an appeal with CAS. So why would things be different this time?

Not understanding the comparisons between us and City. 

City have been cooking the books for years with fake sponsors and inflated revenue to demonstrate that they're 'complying' with FFP. If we've been doing anything remotely like this, then I'd be concerned but I don't see any evidence of it.

City got off on a technicality because UEFA didn't comply with their statute of limitations provisions when they brought the charges against them.

I think the PL has a rock solid case here, though this will probably drag on for years with City defending the charges. If the PL loses the case, its credibility will be shot and I think the Super League will have a massive resurgence then.
