The whole back line was sensational.

Penny for Cancelo's thoughts.

Yep, even I have been reluctant to praise Guardiola like everybody else, but it doesn't matter who seems to go out of that club, he throws somebody else in and they look no worse off. Cancelo was brilliant for City and if it was any other club, it would be a huge loss. He's one of those coaches that just seems to have the knack of getting the very best out of pretty much any player. It's something Ferguson was very good at. I don't even rate Ake that highly and I think if he was in any other team, he would soon be exposed, but he's on another level for City.

For all the sh*t Pep has gotten by rival fans, you have to begrudgingly admit that he's arguably the best coach in the world. How he's managed to keep City consistent since he took over pretty much, is nothing short of very impressive.

They've arguably gotten even better against the big teams, they weren't this good when we played them in 2021

He's like a better version of Fergie to be honest, if he stays at City for another 15 years he'd smash every record

Speaking of John Stones, do you remember when we were after him when he was at Everton? Ake, Stones and KDB could have been Chelsea players.

There was some talk of him leaving City for us at one point too, with Laporte and Diaz coming in...

But we got Papy Djilobodjy and K² so...

I don't follow Drogba? How so?

If Nagelsmann was doing a bad job at Bayern you would have seen immediate improvement under Tuchel, yet they arguably look slightly worse (though City are better than Barca/PSG)

Seems like Bayern lost a 50 goal a season striker and didn't replace him, rather than Nagelsmann being a poor coach at the top level

Unless the Premier League actually does have something on them. What is going on with that anyway? They were charged months ago now. It's all gone quiet.

The whole process will take around 6 to 9 months from when it was announced for an outcome, unfortunately.

Not in time for them to inevitably win the UCL this season, just hope Pep chooses that moment to finally leave but most likely he’ll want to do a Ferguson now.

When it rains it pours.

Pretty tame compared to what our fans have been saying about Tuchels replacement.

Nagelsmann actualy got 17 goals out of him this seaso to be fair 😂 all the more reason to hire him

Well Ange Postecoglu has got 22 goals out of Kyogo Furuhashi this season so we should obviously hire him.

Ange Postecoglous actually a really good maanger to be fair, I wouldn't be mad if we hired him

Though I'd put getting 34 goals out Werner and 17 in 2/3 of a season out of Chupo Moting higher up. Furahashi looks like a good player from what I've seen (by Scottish standards).

The one thing i want in a new coach is someone that has a history of getting attackers firing, our defence is already solid

City have turned the PL into a Bayern in the Bundesliga like yearly procession and now look absolutely untouchable in Europe too. It’s funny how at the start of the season how people were suggesting Haaland had somehow weekend them. I wish we could be weakened by a striker scoring 397 goals in a season.

De Ligt's positioning for the third goal was absolutely atrocious. He's the left centre back and went charging out of the box, leavings acres of space where he should be for Haaland (of all people) to run into and score easily. How can you play against a weapon like Haaland and have zero awareness of where he is during a dangerous attack ? Schoolboy stuff ...

Most legal experts said the legal process will take about a couple of years so we won't be hearing anything for awhile.

Fantastic performance. Can't see anyone stopping them in this form, but Pep has form for strange decisions, so nothing is certain.

That is the key thing for me. Sounds a bit mad; but If we miraculously get past Madrid, I can see us sneaking past City because Pep will overthink his tactics yet again.

And Musiala.

Good points made

When a lot people are obsessed with small tippy tappy football. Pep the one who popularize tiki taka always adapt his team to his player. It happened with Bayern, it happened with City.

Now city played with 4cb + Rodri + Haaland. They are no longer weak in set pieces. With Haaland in the middle, you can see they are no longer afraid of just putting the ball in the box. We have a monster in there.

Do you want to play up and down football? Good luck stopping Haaland running behind your backline.

Yes, I remembered that season was a mess including the summer. Mourinho wanted stones to replace Terry and he got djiloubjy.
