December 8, 20241 yr His line breaking passes are ridiculous, a unique player. Still only 20 years old too, could reach Rodri heights in no time.
December 8, 20241 yr Of course. Him, James and Fofana are never going to play more than a handful of games per season.

December 9, 20241 yr What’s clear is Maresca is under strict orders to be ultra careful with all of our long term injured from last season. If that’s what it takes to get them fully fit then so be it because we have a squad that can cope. Lavia was quality today. Some of his passing was top class. Could be a mainstay in our team for a decade.

Last season it seems the coaching and not the medical/fitness staff had the final say on whether players were ready to return. It doesn't matter what you say as a doctor/physio/trainer when the coach's fitness/performance advisor is his son.

December 9, 20241 yr https://x.com/chelseaktbffh83/status/1865945205490548818?s=46 I’m running out of words to describe how good he is
December 9, 20241 yr Said in the Matchday thread it took a lot of balls to sub him out for the tactical tweak. It was a complete midfield performance. He played a “thread through a needle” pass to Palmer that split open the entire Spurs team. Edited December 9, 20241 yr by Sconnie Blue

That was a tough blow to the head which you can’t ignored. Edited December 9, 20241 yr by El regreso

Then we have the opportunity to manage Lavia whilst not demonstrably having to change shape when the personnel needs resting.

Yeah they said tactical but if you watch it back the delayed response and the way he fell got me uneasy because I thought concussion immediately. He got elbowed close to his temple that’s dangerous.
December 9, 20241 yr Enzo Maresca: “We don't want to take risks in December. Sometimes it's better to make changes after 45 minutes rather than lose a player for five or six games”, told Sky Sports. This 100% 👆 But this bit worries me slightly... “Roméo Lavia had a hamstring problem…but now he is okay”. I also think the elbow to the head was a factor too...why risk it! i hope he's ok...he is truly class and just 20! Shocking. Now compare that to Ange! He lost 3 players in the end, and i can't help but think they weren't fully fit at the start!
December 21, 20241 yr Sounds like Sunday came too soon for him. Real shame. Really hope his availability improves soon as we need these options depth / options. With rumors of Chukwuemeka, KDH and Casadei potentially departing, think it would be prudent to recall Ugochukwu or Santos.
December 21, 20241 yr Yep, as I posted in the Everton thread I'm worried about our midfield atm. Lavia and caicedo are vital to this team. Also if recalling anyone then they will need time to get used to the team and the way we play.
