It amazes me how little concern is given to this spate of injuries to young players currently, and how we were actually mocked for removing Palmer from the european squad so he wasnt overplayed.

Fans/managers/commentators etc all talk a good game when it comes to looking after young players but that all goes out the window very quickly and theres an embarrassing lack of empathy.

Our downfall this season pretty much aligns with him getting injured.

2 seasons and he's made 8 starts. Like Fofana, a permanently crocked player. But our SD's lap that sh*t up. They can't wait to spend tonnes of money on people who never play.

He’s the next RLC ain’t he, all the ability in the world but we’ll never see it flourish in such a physically demanding league.

This just can’t continue. We need a better option that starts with the most simplest thing of availability.

Next season I’d like the squad to include Caicedo, Enzo, Santos and Essugo. Probably not enough space for Ugochukwu, but I’d have him next.

It's a nice sound bite, but when you consider a 38 game PL season of 90 minutes each, that would be a maximum of 3,420 minutes, so playing 2,231 at any age shouldn't really be an issue. It's equivalent to playing 25 out of the 38 basically ..

Yes. Even before he joined us, he missed more games than he played at Southampton. Given his injury issues was a risky signing and so it has proven. I suspect we will have to move on from him and sign another mid now.

We already did - £35m on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from the Championship.

We were looking to move on KDH in January so I suspect he will be gone in the summer. At a loss presumably. Genius from the SD's.

Logical thing to do is bring back Santos from Strasbourg but we will probably sell him.

It's a bit early to be thinking about selling Lavia. His value right now will still be the same in about a year so might as well keep him in the hopes you can fix his injuries.
