Likely we recall Lesly. Not even playing at Saints. 

Unfortunately Lavia seems to be a member of the same club as James and Fofana. 

What starts off as a minor concern sees them miss weeks, if not months.

If Maresca gave up on KDH already it would be a big surprise. But I hope if all that is true that Andrey Santos gets his chance.

If he can't get into the midfield of the side that is rooted to the bottom of the table, I'm not sure Maresca would find much use for him in a side challenging at the top ! Maresca had a good look at Lesley in pre season and opted to send him out on loan. I think he'll persist with KDH and Casadei as the cover options for Lavia in the squad. 

Hopefully the new Southampton manager will have a different view of Ugochukwu than Russell Martin, and play him a bit more, but he needs to get his head down and earn the place.

Yup. As long as Maresca is willing to use him. Caciedo and Enzo both clearly tired out today for that last 20 minutes or so but he was not willing to trust any of the subs to replace them.

So by all means bring Santos and Lesley back IF Maresca will use them at least as late subs, if not don't bother.

Busiest period of the season and Maresca was unwilling to rotate or make subs, we get knackered and lose today and nearly lose to Everton. That's on him.

We could have really done with Lavia against Fulham. The sooner he is back the better.

Didn't maresca say that Santos is doing really well at strasbourg and would be a shame to recall him in January? 

*Maybe it wasn't maresca but one of the news articles misquoting the interviews because I personally don't recall him saying that, and I've seen most of the pre and post match interviews. Could be from one i missed. 

Supposedly he was making good progress a week ago, but I doubt he will feature against Palace. unfortunately shades of Reece with he regularity that he gets injured. On his day looks a decent player but can he stay fit?

It says a lot about the transfer strategy when a player who has spent more time injured than playing for us is lauded as the saviour of our midfield. Wont just be fans delighted to see him back but Caciedo as well. 

After Gallagher, thought Chuck would have been given a role. 

 

This guy needs to get fit and stay fit for second half of the season.  Very frustrated seeing him used for 60-70 mins of a game when fit (as he can't see it out) only to break down.  Come on Lavia - get going boy!

There is no question on the ball Lavia is amazing. Most player is either a jorgi or a Kova but Lavia is comfortable doing both. However many also say that Lavia is providing steel to our midfield which I completely disagree. 

This is another Lavia being lost defensively. 

Lavia won a tackle in midfield, all good. 

The ball bounce around. Now semenyo is Lavia man, Enzo man is the one on the ball and either Palmer or Jackson need to get bournemouth cb. All fine. 

Palmer and Jackson are late because they need to recover (very good effort by Jackson here). Lavia  decided to leave semenyo and engange the ball carrier, one simple pass. 

☠️☠️ No chance Lavia can ever recover this. This is basically Palmer goal,  3 v 3 break in the middle. 

Luckily our st summon his inner Kante and chase semenyo (this is just insane from Jackson).
