You're just kidding us surely?

It's barely even a style of footballer, it's just grubby, cheating, diving garbage. The ball might as well not be there.

I would love Simeone, I always want a defensive manager instead of a 'freeflowing football' manager

Really? I was sure you would have gone Tony Pulis or Sam Allardyce.

I'd love to see Allardyce in Serie A. Think he'd tear it up there.

He does love a nice chianti

If we can't get Enzo or Caicedo at okay prices why not wait till the summer so we will have an army of choices for that spot...we have bodies, not as able but we do have midfielders in our ranks. Ruben, Kante (available March), Zakaria (available in two weeks). Buying those either of those two won't guarantee us the place in top 4 or glory in CL this season. We won't be playing in the CL next season.

That is my thinking exactly; seeing links with us making a bid for Onana which is just ridiculous. With 5 more days in the window, we should be trying to get rid of 2-3 players as things stand not buying 2nd/3rd options.

I fully agree when it comes to the likes of Sangare and Alvarez but Everton fans seem to think Onana is going right to the top (ofcourse that could partly be them clinging onto to one of the few good aspects of the club right now but still).

We have Santos who is a similar profile and looking like an absolute gem atm.

Who ever we bring into midfield need to be genuine improvements on what we currently have, IE Enzo, Caicedo, Rice, etc.

Is he? I have some hope due to the opinion of our resident Vasco supporter but I can't say I've been particularly enamoured watching his reels, especially the highlights video against Peru (I'll go as far as saying he looked awful in that one).

Not a fan of his passing game (something that needs significant improvement) but his presence in midfield both on and off the ball is admirable at such a young age.

Andrey Santos as well. Why can't we just slot him in the side? Get a feel of the Prem. Surely he could do a job...

As much as I like the lad, have seen nothing to suggest he's ready. His passing game is pretty poor atm, and from the clips I've seen at the U20 South American championships, they aren't even pressing him.

He and Casadei need a loan in the Championship to get a feel of the English game and adapt to the speed and physicality.

Ruben is not a serious option in midfield for any premier league club and Kante is always injured.

Seems a shame to bring in so much attacking talent while having such an abysmal midfield.

I'd rather we got a midfielder and use the rest of the season to access if we have the right manager instead of limping towards midtable and having the usual suspects say we can't judge Potter because despite having 10 new players we didn't have the fabled new midfielder we desperately need.

Wouldn't you agree though its good news we are holding out for our #1 targets instead of panic buying?

It's becoming apparent that our #1 targets in attack were more attainable this window vs midfielders.

Not sure we should overpay for maybe to go few places up the table. It is top 4 or any other position above relegation. We are absolutely not reaching top 4. Too many clubs are too far away playing much better than us.

The market is not for the buyer so why would we bother...?

Given we've just spent £16m including wages to loan Felix for 5 months I'm not really sure we're writing this season off.

And we have absolutely 0 chance of signing Enzo in the summer it's now or never or we'll be watching him at City for years to come.

Whack Chukwuemeka into those games and he'd look markedly better in my opinion.

Hopefully he will help us avoid a relegation fight. 14 games in PL 19pts  out of 42pts to date.
