Expectation for this first season could be a bit lower. Meaning if we end up being 7th in the league, Potter can still continue.

But it won't last long. There is basically no leeway in top clubs and that is how it should be. Potter needs to get a hang of things pretty quick if he wants to keep his job. He absolutely knows this himself and agrees with it being how the world works.

I'm still gutted about the sacking of Tuchel. Looking back, it's just how I was when Lamps was sacked. Very typical of our Club to sack a fans favourite with no consideration of the supporters.

I didn't want Tuchel to replace Lamps but had to admit I warmed to TT almost from day 1. Just hope the same happens with Potter. I like him and am very impressed with what he achieved at Brighton. They played really good football and got some very decent results. But it's a massive step up with pressure and media scrutiny that however well he think he might be prepared for, will take some getting used to. Seeing the interviews, can't help feeling he comes across as a manager of a Sunday side who can't quite believe his luck. This could be a disaster or it could be the start of something special. Hope for the latter, obviously.

I wouldn't really want the club to consider the supporters in decisions like this and i include myself in that, infact I'd be terrified if it even came into their thinking.

If it was up to the average supporter Ranieri would have stayed and no Jose, to name one example.

There are concerns yup, we always expected anyone after Roman would be a big downgrade.

A new owner who wants to play 4-4-3.

Wants to drop Mendy,

not for a keeper,

for a defender.

 

That interview has worried me a little to be honest, feels like he's overwhelmed by it all.

Hopefully I'm reading too much into it because on paper this really should work.
