I think it is going to be :

Mount - Kai/auba - Sterling

Jorgi - Kova

(probably cucu) Chilwell - Koul - Silva - Fofana - James

This seems like the safest prediction, though it also feels like the exact lineup TT would pick were he still around.

I wont be upset if we start like that, but I think a part of me is hoping he shakes things up a bit. Salzburg play a pretty intense, high octane style (at least that's what I've heard), so maybe he'll go for a bit more youth and energy? One or two of Gallagher/Broja/RLC?

I also wouldn't be surprised if Pulisic is given an early opportunity to impress (though I'm not convinced he'll take it if he is!)

It will be interesting to see how we play tonight, especially after Potter had more time to do training than he normally would have.

It’s going to be difficult to take too much from tonight as we’ll have a player reaction as always. But I’ll take any positive signs.

Potter says he has never been to a Champions League match. Ever.

So that effectively means I have more CL experience than he does, having been to several games. Stunning!

Looking forward to seeing how we line up tonight

I suspect change will be gradual. At least that’s how it was at Brighton.

Usually when a new manager comes in everyone expect player a, b, c to be dropped but most of the time it never happens. They usually play the same player unless there is huge shift in playing style/system even then the changes is usually minimal.

I would never have believed that chelsea in 2022 or indeeed any other year would be coached by a manager with zero champions league experience either as a player, coach or even spectator. Truly mind blowing.

Intrigued by how we set up and the style of play we adopt.

The criticism if we draw or lose will be insurmountable tomorrow. Just hoping for a winning start by Potter to keep the media hounds at bay.

Kepa

Fofana

Silva/K.K

Cucurella

James

Chilly

Mount

Jorginho

Kovacic

Sterling

AUB/Havertz

Something ever so slightly different.

Tbh...I know nothing of GP.

It's just a football game, it's not like he is preparing to Kasparov at chess!

After our dismal performance in the opening game this is a must win at home. Don't care if its a CL game, Premier league game or playing hacky sack in the Maccy Dees car park.

Is there any info on which team he supports? At least before his professional career started.

Even in Tuchel's first game we played with a markedly different syle compared to Lampard, and that was with only one training session.

We should at least see some signs today of the kind of football that Potter wants to play

Come on potter, buzzing to see how the team plays tonight.

nice to see potters joining in training and wiping out Mendy. Shame it’s Kepa replacing him 🤣

Let’s see what the yes man Potter will do. Im intrigued to see Boehly’s playing style, tactical approach and what players he will ask Potter to play.

Not sure if a yes man could coach at a Prem level.
