October 1, 20223 yr Maybe we need a club optician. Seems to me our forwards have a visual impairment when they size up where the goal is.
October 1, 20223 yr If Mason learns how to shoot , we would be fine. Not to mention the palace player who made him look foolish when he waltzed by him earlier in the half. Edited October 1, 20223 yr by Phillip

October 1, 20223 yr Mason really should hit the target from so close. He will never be Lampard with that kind of shooting.
October 1, 20223 yr Well we were never going to improve much over the 3 week break, but we've actually managed to get worse, which is impressive. Now, to add to the general lack of creativity, slow passing, poor defending and poor concentration, we've added in being incredibly slow on the ball itself and being robbed time and time again. Be interesting to see what we add to our game next.

October 1, 20223 yr Lots of possession Too many mistakes leading to counter chances Mason and Kai still not at it Strikers finish from Auba Silva got lucky, thank god it wasn’t Taylor

October 1, 20223 yr I think we can see Potter’s small club mixed long ball football style. Its good to see the players embracing it. I quite like it, reminds me of the 90s. We wont win anything under Potter, but its nice hes been given a chance, which is what matters.

October 1, 20223 yr Creating a decent amount of chances but let down with ropey finishing as per usual. Look open at the back though , can see why Tuchel was so stubborn with his formation.
October 1, 20223 yr - We've been mostly crap and disjointed but looked better after we scored - lovely finish aubameyang - Thiago Silva probably should have been sent off

Since their goal we’re been dominating. Less complacency too, imo.
October 1, 20223 yr Thoughts on first half: 1)Team don't seem used to a back 4 which has led to a lot of gaps, it's going to take a bit of time for them to get used to it and I think having a DM or a marshal like Kante will help that transition from a back 5/3 to 4 happen quicker. 2)Passing hasn't been the best, lots of misplaced passes. Not sure if that has to do with the players getting used to a new system/style of play or just the usual coming back from international duty. 3)Team seems a lot more direct compared to Tuchel's team. Lots of runs and long passes/crosses but our forwards are still struggling to score.
