It is mad that as a chelsea fan how little you think of your own club. Mate we're going through a bit of a sh*t season we're not all of a sudden a sh*t club

He would be coming here for what, a 4 and half month loan, while we are indeed sh*t and not able to form cohesive attacks.

A year ago after Lukakus blow out would have been a very good fit. Now we are a right mess. He is not coming here on a 7 year deal to help sort us out long term.

If Felix is the only guy we sign then maybe you'll have a point but we're working on signing a few starters in this window and I imagine that's what he's been told too.

I think we are certainly flirting with that status, and it would not be difficult for the owners to achieve it from our current predicament.

Will see what the window brings mate. The overall camp just seems very, very wrong at the mo so am just expecting we end up with another window like the summer one.

Couldn't disagree any more with what you've just put here

We'll see but I genuinely don't understand this woe is me attitude that a lot of this forum has adopted. Yeah the first window directed mainly Tuchel hasn't ended up well but in the midst of it we've signed quite a few exciting young talents and we're planning long term. If you take away how the current first team are playing the future is potentially very bright for us, for the now we do definitely need to sign some top players and Felix is hopefully just a part of that.

Specifically for felix the guy is a really exciting footballer, every week we complain about how poor our forwards are and now we're signing a genuinely top footballer and most of the reaction on here is negative, feels like Boehly etc can't win and people are just set on having a negative mindset.

Hopefully we sign more players then cause I'm not sure just how amazing our central attack would look with Felix and Havertz bumping into each other.

Find a freaking RW player, a real inside forward would be nice for a change we're getting too many AM players I mean it's already impossible to play Mount and Havertz there let alone Gallagher and then if we get Felix + Nkunku that's all central players not getting the team built around them and nobody is in form. I think Sterling and Pulisic also wish they had a real striker to play with.

Felix just reminds me so much of Havertz that I feel it will not work out.

Have to say, if we want to turn around the fortunes of the club, the signing we should make from Atleti is Cholo Simeone.

Someone mentioned the Felix loan may only be 6 months because he and Simeone don't get along and he could get sacked in the summer 🤔😂

At one point Simeone did look custom fit for Chelsea especially under RA's reign. Now I'm not so sure, if one his tactics are modern enough to work and two even if he was available if we would bin Potter for him after half a season.

Stick a proper Striker between Sterling and Nkunku and we will cook next season providing we actually recruit properly (sign a dm and a back up rb for Reece). We could also sign a left footed right winger if there's one available and play a 4231.

After having to watch Ziyech flunder so many moves I dread to think of getting another left footed right winger...

I can’t see him succeeding here. He’s not a proper striker, he’s not even a midfielder, he’s like Havertz, doesn’t really have a best position.

For him to hit it off in space of 4/5 months,  presuming no injuries… No I cant see it. I definitely can see him struggling to adapt like Havertz. Personally I feel it’s a waste of money, surely we are better off investing that money into a permanent signing.

Aparantly he would choose Chelsea because he loves the Project.

I wonder what loves the project means when you are on loan for 6 months with no buy clause.

Only A.Madrid wins here.

If he plays sh*t, at least he is off their books for 6 months.

If he plays well any club incl. Chelsea has to pay a ton more.

Desperate time for desperate measures, if he is crap, just another Saul. If he does a Bruno, they will demand a big fee and we will pay for a proven player. I don't think he's going back to Atletico if he has other options. And Whatever happened to Saul, is he still playing?

As mentioned in here already I suspect we’re mainly doing Jorge Mendes a favour and building up our relationship with him, only thing that makes sense. Arse & Utd names are just being used for clout, nobody else was in the running.

Don't think anyone else was willing to pay 11mill euros and the players wages with no option to buy.

Hasn't scored more than 8 league goals since 2019, with La Liga being an easier league than the Prem.

Is it? Many players have come here and been a lot better than what they were in La Liga.

Not that I'm particularly enamoured by this signing but I don't buy La Liga being a weaker/weak league, it seems to have stemmed from Pep and Jose making it look so even though Pep and Klopp have done exactly the same to our league.

I read somewhere that he will sign a loan deal with us and that A.M. is extending his contract to 2027.

If that is true, then they will be in no rush to sell them and price can get really high.

What I think would be very stupid from Joao his manager unless he only thinks of his own Katching. Or if the 2027 extention is a clause in his contract.

Then they can't do much about it.

If he plays well, he helps us out, at least for about half a season so we win a bit too in that scenario. Chances of that happening though?
