I don't doubt it, i started going to games about this time when i was 16yo, nearly always away games as i don't live near London, it seemed like we had as many fans as the home team, i used to catch the train to the town/city where we were playing, and just wait at the station for the specials to roll in and tag along at the back in the choir.

Huh never would have guest you are almost 60 mate.

As for Brighton, Joel Veltman and Adam Lallana are both battling time to return for this one, while Kaoru Mitoma is also a doubt. Levi Colwill and Jan Paul van Hecke are also doubts for this one.

Can Colwall play, I'd doubt it. But he isn't starting anyway. Lallana and Veltman started their last game. We could well be facing Glamour, and Lamptey though.

Come on Chelsea!

I am going to Brighton today, will be looking for a face value ticket in and around the ground.

any idea what pubs are good for Chelsea before the game, I am guessing near the main Brighton station and then jump on another train up to falmer nearer kickoff.

I tried to post on the tickets thread for this forum but couldn’t figure it out any advice about that or getting a spare Chelsea ticket would be welcomed.

cheers

Ok thanks. Makes sense. I will establish myself🙂. Still I will just go up to the game and see if I can find a ticket, done that a few times before and it worked. Comfy 2 nil to us today I reckon…. Ktbffh

Feels nice to have the opportunity to watch Chelsea play every three days, but my God this schedule is brutal. It is a bit unfair, especially for the UCL teams because on top of a congested PL calendar, you also get to play against quality clubs in UCL, too. Plus PL is not as it used to be 10 years ago, now clubs like Brighton and Newcastle have as much quality as most of the Europa League sides and some UCL ones to be honest.

As a matter of fact I was looking through our schedule so far this season and Chelsea is yet to face a so called weak opponent, like Forest or Bournemouth. I know we've played v Leeds and Wolves who are currently in the bottom three, but they are hardly dross and judging by their squads they are ten times better than some Europa League clubs that Arsenal and United have had to play this season.

It is already Potter's ten match in charge and I hope he becomes the first manager in Chelsea's history to go unbeaten in his first ten at the club.

The PL standard is so good that you can never bank on any result really, even against teams in the lower reaches. I think it comes down to confidence, form, adaptability and then having a squad with decent depth. Then you also need luck with injuries. In some ways i think playing every few days at a high level probably helps build and keep that sharpeness, gives lots of opportunities through the whole squad as well. Somehow Potter seems a lot more flexible than Tommy T was so actually i think that helps. Hope so anyway for Chelsea sake!

Zeta's approved line-up:

Kepa

Azpilicueta   Chalobah   Silva    Cucarella

Jorginho    Kovacic

Pulisic    Mount    Sterling

Omari Hutchinson has travelled with the #Chelsea squad for their Premier League clash vs Brighton.

[via @Nathan_Gissing]

that would be really nice to see him get some minutes

Has someone been round and nailed everything down? Oh and make sure someone checks Potter’s pockets before he goes.

Wonder which Chelsea player has been selected to tell Sanchez what he could earn there every time they get a corner?

hahahaha

Apart from the match itself, I'm interested to see what type of reception Potter receives from the Brighton fans.

Pat Nevin said both cheers and boos

Ashley Williams said boos are louder than cheers it will be boos.
