It seems to be up to Osimhen wherever he wants to go rather than Napoli. If it were up to Napoli Osimhen would have done his official unveiling at Ahit Analhit around a week ago. The longer this drags on for, the more obvious it makes it he wants Chelsea. This time tomorrow he’s a Chelsea player. I just hope it’s not for obscene wages because I think he’s a bigger risk than Toney.
August 29, 20241 yr Just to be clear it’s a loan with an OBLIGATION to buy. Note the caps. This is us strong-arming Napoli I suppose.
August 29, 20241 yr I guess a loan with obligation is fair, he could be another Morata in the prem and/or we could end up in another Big Rom situation!

I would guess the loan fee is enough to cover Napolis FFP needs this season then.

August 29, 20241 yr Blimey. Just found out that the transfer window closes Friday night and not on the 31st. That’s not much time to sort out Osimhen or Toney, then Sterling, Chilwell, Chalobah and the rest, and any last minute surprises. Going to be an exciting day. Who needs football when you’ve got the transfer window?
August 29, 20241 yr Loan w/obligation to buy makes it next year's FFP problem for the buying club. Only the loan fee will count against this season's books, and the rest of his fee is amortised after that.

August 30, 20241 yr What does Victor want? IF he wants tonnes and tonnes of money those blokes in Saudi are offering. IF he wants to know - if he wants to see if he is a great striker playing in the best league. . . .come on over to Chelsea. Loan with obligation. Lets see if you are as good as the hype.
August 30, 20241 yr According to the BBC: Napoli's Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen, 25, who is a target for Chelsea, has been offered a four-year deal by Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli worth £25m per year. Victor, take it mate, £500,000 a week. Sweet baby Jebus.

August 30, 20241 yr Similar to the Oscar situation almost a decade ago, take the offer and your future generations are guaranteed to live an above luxury life, at the price of your football career and legacy. I hope he takes it, unless he's really determined to make a name of himself in the EPL.
August 30, 20241 yr I lived in Nigeria for 8 years…..£500k per week goes a long way. Big money vs sporting pride That’s the equation. I know which I would take.
August 30, 20241 yr If I was him, I'd take the Saudi money for two seasons and then come back to Europe still at my peak at age 27 ...

He wants an easy way to get back to Europe. I think this is also settled by Al Ahli. I would probably also take Saudi money because this might be his last chance to win the lottery. Our project is not simple. We have Jackson who is playing well and Prem is completely new environment. I actually think Chelsea for him is a gamble.

If he invests well, his great great great grandchildren will never have to worry about finances. If he's that good then there will be plenty of chances to make it back into Europe.
August 30, 20241 yr Confirmed that he's off to Saudi. I'm not linking to any Twatter account as don't want to give those bell ends any extra air time.
