January 6, 20233 yr Oh no 😞…… loved the man - oozed charisma! RIP Luca there will always be a place in our hearts at Stamford Bridge !
January 6, 20233 yr Newcastle fan here. Just wanted to come on and extend my condolences to a fantastic player, coach and man. Really brought something extra to those early premier league days. RIP Gianluca Vialli
January 6, 20233 yr Truly heartbroken, even before he came here, a stalwart of late 80/90s serie A, via channel 4s Golazzo, memories of him smashing it with Mancini at Sampdoria, a true superstar to join our ranks that paved the way continua a fare il maestro
January 6, 20233 yr RIP Gianluca. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. . Nothing but the fondest memories of how you lit up our wonderful club, the Premier League, and global football. One of Chelsea's greats, and a pioneer of the modern Chelsea. Edited January 6, 20233 yr by PhilH930
January 6, 20233 yr Heartbroken. Truly gutted to lose the great man shed real tears the morning RIP Luca you absolute legend a true blue
January 6, 20233 yr What a way to end my shift at work, finding out one of my all time favourite Chelsea players passed away. So gutted. I knew he had to go back to hospital but this still came across as a shock for me. RIP Luca.
January 6, 20233 yr Very telling that there's been pretty much no online trolling or daftness around this announcement, just admiration and respect.
January 6, 20233 yr Oh no...that comes as a shock, despite knowing about his recent relapse. A wonderful, graceful player who actually seemed to enjoy himself. Part of a Chelsea era when Big Money didn't rule everything, and football was fun! Too young to go, he's only a few days younger than I. Thank you for all the memories, Luca. I loved you.
January 6, 20233 yr One of the first superstars of the modern era for us, a truly class act in every way. RIP Luca, thanks for the memories.
January 6, 20233 yr Hello guys, Juve fan here and honestly I just wanted to read something by another fanbase that was as affected by this as we (and Samp fans) were, so I happened upon this forum. He was our last captain to lift the Champions League trophy (in '96) and he was always such a charismatic leader for us. He was always such an upstanding and at the same time emotional man. 58 is really no age to go, I would have wanted to keep seeing him as head of the delegation at Mancini's side for the national team. Well, at least we managed to win the Euros with him in 2021. I didn't follow his Chelsea career closely but I hope he was happy there, I know he loved London and he could speak fluently as I heard him act as a pundit in England after some matches. Here's a small sweet farewell piece translated into English on the official Juventus website. "Oi oi oi, oi oi oi, Luca Vialli segna per noi!" Edited January 6, 20233 yr by Haku

January 6, 20233 yr Damn. Maybe I'm just getting older but it feels like too many people have been passing away lately far before their time. Rest in peace legend.

January 6, 20233 yr Ah this brings tears to the eyes. Had only been following football, and supporting Chelsea, for a few years before Luca joined. After Ruudy he was, I think, the next global football superstar to join us. He did not have to, he was Luca Vialli, he could have gone to so many other more famous clubs but he came here not for a big cash retirement but because he wanted to play here and he formed a love and dedication to the club that he carried on long after his playing career was done. Everyone that knew him spoke of the amazing man he was. I did not know him personally, but got to know him through the telly. Was clear he was a special person and a character. Sad loss, my thoughts and prayers for his family 🙏
