January 12, 20233 yr if Potter was a foreign manager every pundit would be saying he can't survive - he's getting patience simply because he's English

This squad lacks strength of character and massively lacks will to win and leadership. That's on Tuchel for now The only obvious difference here seems to be that the players downed tools even earlier than usual. Normally they give a manager a year or so.

This team won the Champions League 18 months ago, was easily making top 4 under Tuchel, and now we look like a relegation fodder. THIS team did NOT win the Champions league 19 months ago though did it and there were ELEVEN players on the pitch that night too! They wouldn't have won it with 10 would they!?

Personally, I think we should have kept him and let him ride it out but there's no denying there were issues before he was sacked.

I wouldn't want any of the 7 desperately but I'd take all 7 over Potter Potter really is as bottom of the barrel as it gets, it's like if a team at the top hired Ian Holloway when his Blackpool was getting media hype a decade ago You don't know what you're talking about!
January 12, 20233 yr 3 minutes ago, Droyman said: He did? What did Tuchel deal with that was 'more' exactly!!? And he would NOT be finishing anywhere near top 4 this season - not even with a fully fit squad!! Your kidding right, key injuries the club looking bankrupt.

This one is on the players. Awful defending for the first, awful goalkeeping for the second. Stupidity by Felix for the red and yet another piss poor performance by Kovacic, Koulibaly, Mount, Chalobah, and Havertz. Then Jorginho and Ziyech came on and you knew it was playing with 8 men time. Chukuwuemka has to get a decent run now and I think the criticism of Hall was over the top tonight. Yes he lost the ball which eventually resulted in the opener but I felt he, along with Felix, was the only player who was trying to create anything when we had 11 men. I'd stick with him ahead of Cucurella. Really hope Zakaria has only suffered a tweak because he is head and shoulders ahead of Jorginho for the rest of the season. We are all venting our frustration tonight so posts get buried pretty quickly. I just wanted to bump this great post to make sure everyone has a chance to read it. Great post @loz

January 12, 20233 yr I'm so used to a bad run of results leading to the managers sacking that it just seems inevitable. We will see how long the board hold thier nerve but no decent player in thier right mind would want to come Chelsea at the moment. How can an investment company justify throwing £250m at this car crash. They must be looking elsewhere, surely.

Surely Potters luck can't go on like this? What is important is that we stick with him and address the real issues here, we need a team overhaul thats for sure. I'm waiting for him to run up the touch line trip over a match stick and break his leg and have a long concussion to put him in a coma for the rest of the season....knowing his luck since he came he it will probably happen. Emotional intelligence...who needs it. I hope he can cope or he will become a broken man...still there is always.....
January 12, 20233 yr Bring In JT As A Coach, Some Players Need To Go Back And Learn The Basics Need A Massive Overhaul Of The Squad, Stop Buying Players For Essentially A Farming System Of Loan After Loan And Never Playing For Chelsea If Potter Stays Then Todd Look For Players Who Fit His System Don't Just Buy Someone Based Off Their Name Who Only Suits One System
January 12, 20233 yr I don’t think the club can just keep spending money. I don’t think it’s really going to help. Doesn’t seem to be the issue.

When clubs like Villa and Wolves are hiring more successful and proven managers than us while they're in the bottom 5 that should be sending alarm bells to anyone. Potter isn't a Chelsea manager his resume shows nothing to suggest he was ready for an elite club.
January 12, 20233 yr 5 minutes ago, Gol15 said: OK so Tuchel lost some matches and he was sacked. Sack Potter now too, this isn't the first one he lost. And the result of doing that would be another manager who inherits a sub-par team and starts losing games!! Do you know anything about Chelsea's history?

You settle for mediocrity and want to take the club in the direction and path Arsenal were on for 20 years and win nothing.
