Mudryk case will be interesting. He is a goner and that without Paez n estevao coming next season. Can we move him?

He is probably on 100k, forget recouping his transfer fee because that is not happening but can we get something close to his book value?

We didn't seem to have any issue with moving Koulibaly on quickly for a significant loss (only recouped half of what was paid), so maybe there is hope/precedent to similarly shift Mudryk ? Ditto Enzo LOL

That was easy because Saudi was willing to pay kouli salary. Who will be willing to pay Mudryk salary?

There is frequently an assumption made that salaries have to stay the same or go up !

He can always take a pay cut to secure playing time. Footballers do tend to want to play regular football when push comes to shove 🙂

Maybe De Zerbi at Marseilles might take a punt on him ?

If we were to sell him I don't think someone taking on his wages would be an issue, not as if we're paying him an exorbitant amount. I doubt he's achieved his add ons which means we've got about £60m to recoup. I think we're looking at more like £45m tbh, although of course the narrative will be that we paid £88m for him so we're selling him for half what we paid 🙄

Why the Tosin hate? He played well on Saturday and think he's growing into the role. Also a free transfer and on about £90k a week salary...

It's so forced it's embarrassing

I know we are masters at selling but even I think we will struggle to get £45m for him. I think we would do well to get anything around £30m.

Wages is the no 1 concern for any team not transfer fee.

Usually when player take a pay cut it goes from 100 to 80. Even then, it will be  difficult to find team who will pay him that money.

Mudryk is essentially a development player, only top team will be paying 80k for development player

Throw in Tosin and you have the three stooges, all sh*t

The Tosin who was excellent on the weekend, has played barely any minutes but you've decided hes sh*t. I`d rather have the 3 stooges than f**kwit fans like you.

Tottenham hopefully. Or, Plan B, we could let them have him for free.

I do agree but my point is that he's not on something massive like 200k+ a week which is a problem we faced with Sterling and are currently facing with Chilwell. 90k-100k a week for Mudryk isn't a crazy wage that nobody would be willing to pay in my opinion, even at Marseille he wouldn't be their highest earner

I think we would be selling ourselves short with £30m to be honest but we'll see

Mudyrk is a development player. Unless you are a top team you won't pay that money. You expect 100k player to be key part of you team not learning.

I think a lot of fans have this idea that 100k is not a big wages. But for most team it isScreenshot_20240924_205242_Chrome.thumb.jpg.ad5d25776c30a69060bbb50cba34cdd8.jpg

He isn't a development player -

He is a player with european experience, was the top player for his past team, was a transfer target for arsenal and who is a key part of his own national team.

Did we overpay? yes.

Is he suited for our team and how we play?  no

has he been a flop? yes

but he isn't a development player.

"I think this is Mudryk, in terms of not only tonight, but in terms of since he joined the club. I think he had some good moments and then some moments like flipping a coin," Maresca told reporters after the match.

Maresca was diplomatic in saying he has not been good enough....

It doesn't mean he is a development player.

Average is a bit irrelevant ... look at this list ... there are 125 odd players in the PL who are earning £100K a week and upwards ...

Many bang average players on that list ...

He's reporting from Romano.

My question is whether or not this German club would submit a transfer sum acceptable for our owners.

My question would be which agent wants that story out there.

He's up against it because he's replaced our supposed "best centre back".

Was Tosin a replacement for Thiago Silva?
