He is probably on 100k, forget recouping his transfer fee because that is not happening but can we get something close to his book value? We didn't seem to have any issue with moving Koulibaly on quickly for a significant loss (only recouped half of what was paid), so maybe there is hope/precedent to similarly shift Mudryk ? Ditto Enzo LOL

There is frequently an assumption made that salaries have to stay the same or go up ! He can always take a pay cut to secure playing time. Footballers do tend to want to play regular football when push comes to shove 🙂 Maybe De Zerbi at Marseilles might take a punt on him ?
September 24, 20241 yr If we were to sell him I don't think someone taking on his wages would be an issue, not as if we're paying him an exorbitant amount. I doubt he's achieved his add ons which means we've got about £60m to recoup. I think we're looking at more like £45m tbh, although of course the narrative will be that we paid £88m for him so we're selling him for half what we paid 🙄

I think we would do well to get anything around £30m.

Even then, it will be difficult to find team who will pay him that money. Mudryk is essentially a development player, only top team will be paying 80k for development player

I do agree but my point is that he's not on something massive like 200k+ a week which is a problem we faced with Sterling and are currently facing with Chilwell. 90k-100k a week for Mudryk isn't a crazy wage that nobody would be willing to pay in my opinion, even at Marseille he wouldn't be their highest earner Edited September 24, 20241 yr by timetowaste
