Mykhailo Mudryk signs for Chelsea

Featured Replies

Stick him with Sterling training away from the group. He does more harm than good to the team when he's on the pitch. Can't deal with it any more. We've got plenty of better options now - Neto, Felix, Nkuku, etc...

He was anonymous today - but wasn’t our worst player during the first half (that was caicedo by far, followed by fofana, wacko and palmer).

Mudryk just wasn’t involved.

That's part of Mudryk's problem, he's never involved, and when he is, he runs into people and just surrenders possession. At least with the others, it's possible to get something positive out of them, even Jackson (don't hit me! :sofa:)

Mudryk what is the point any more? What the hell is Maresca thinking?

While he keeps picking Mudryk and won't even put Carney on the bench, I can't take him seriously as a manager.

The way he sat Mudryk down on the bench inspired the team to a 0-4 half though.

Mudryk needs a loan in italy similar to Salah where he can learn the game tactically and hopefully can develop like Salah did. His speed and physicality is amazing but the rest of his game has alot of flaws.

Not the same. Salah was far more reliable and dangerous than Mudryk. Mudryk has done nothing in football. Sell him.

With the number of games we can expect to play this season, we may need to hold onto him. But, he is last in the attacking pecking order to me.

A loan would probably be best, and perhaps doable if we sign a striker as Nico can cover LW.

Although I previously said I’m ok with him being here this season. But if he doesn’t pull it out the bag, he’ll be gone next summer (series of loans probably)

That said, I don’t want to see him starting any more games any time soon.

I would also rather use George as the back ups back up than Mudryk.

Salah was very inconsistent for us similar to Mudryk now. Seria A  would offer him alot more space and tactical experience so would do him good but obviously he is staying with us so its just an idea what i would have done.

He was inconsistent and a bit lightweight at the time. He still had a decent football IQ and technical ability. Sadly Mudryk just runs fast with very occasional flashes of touch and IQ, usually immediately followed by bad decisions and brainfarts.

I think it would be nuts to sell him at this point, but I'm getting the feeling that he really does need  a loan. The physical attributes are all there but his football IQ is non existent at times. He's the sort of player that I think would go to Dortmund and look like the player we thought we'd have.

Why would it be nuts? If we got a remotely acceptable offer and it is a move he would be agreeable to then we would be stark raving David Icke to turn it down.

London cabs carry less of a passenger load than we do with Mudryk.

We would then have to sell a free hitter just to make up the loss. We'd surely lose 30m on him now, which would mean we'd have to sell Chalobah, for instance, just to make up for it.

He needs to be out of the side and needs to recover some value. For me a loan to the Bundesliga would be ideal.

Depends what you'd define as acceptable. His stock is at an all time low so we'd get nowhere near what we paid for him and I still think he can become a world class player. With a loan, if it's a success, his value increases so we can sell him for more or he comes back in 25/26 off the back of a good season elsewhere.

I don't think we will ever remotely get near what we paid for him. I also think there is more chance of Enzo winning a MOBO award as there is of Mudryk becoming a world class player.

Whatever happens with him I can only see a massive loss on the horizon.

But you're forgetting the amortisation game. Loan him out for a year or two,  eat into that amortisation fee and then see if we can get near what we paid and we're quids in.......for a while.

He is not going out on loan this season.  The coach likes him and to be fair he is very different to all the other attacking mids and wingers that we have. [now, now, no need for those type of comments].  Mudryck offers something different. [IF only he knew how to control a football eh?]. But. We are keeping him around.

we have 3 starting spots and with 5 subs - it is quite likely that we would use 5 of these players in EVERY game we play. AND when you factor in inevitable injuries to these wingers/attacking mids - they are all very prone. We need them around.

Mr.Felix
Neto
Nkunku
Palmer
Madueke
Mudryck

Kellyman?
Sterling? ---- obviously the club want to sell him
Angelo Gabriel?

IMO a Premier League loan would be ideal just to see once and for all if he can cut it in this league.

If we do keep him he should be a UEFA Conference League player because he's behind Neto and Felix (who's both shown more in a week than he would in a typical month,) Madueke, Jackson and Nkunku.

ATM I truly believe picking him in EPL matches is literally weakening our team, we should be able to field 11 strong players in every match without obvious passengers.

It seems he is going through what an earlier Torres was with us! More pressure = less confidence! Especially now piled with Enzo's honesty in interviews, it makes it worse for him in a way!

I do think there is a player in there and while Torres turned it around somewhat back in the day, Mudryk is younger and needs a massive confidence boost to get through this spell or it's just going to get worse! Enzo is helping by starting him, but you can see his nerves when he gets the ball! A loan will take that pressure off and help him if we plan to keep him and bring him back!

I called for a loan 12 months ago, it was clear as day he was nowhere near ready to play in the Premier League. He appeared then to be a player so far out of his depth that it lowered his confidence. If we keep him here it will be another wasted year, especially under a manager prepared to call his poor performances public. A loan to maybe Germany would benefit him, though I honestly don't see anything at all other than pace that could be remotely world-class.
