I highly doubt he took this knowingly but athletes are now 100% liable for anything that gets into their body.

Id imagine he’s looking at a 2 year ban with mitigation.

I think 12 months.

That's what Andre Onana got when he tested positive for Furosemide, although his ban was later reduced to 9 months. I believe A**x continued to pay Onana during his ban. Although A**x were in full support of him and his wages then were less than 20K a week. 

This is different though as I can see Clearlake looking through every detail in his contract to stop playing or release him. Think they may have already given up on him so this could be an out. 

 

Hopefully just a misunderstanding, the B sample will test negative and he'll be back on the pitch and working towards his first ballon dor later this month.

I don't see any possible way this could be a positive for us and an 'out'. We're still liable for his remaining transfer fee and this just stops us from being able to sell him. Annoyingly, his performances so far this season probably would have earned some suitors in January.

Given the ruthlessness Clearlake has shown I am genuinely intrigued to see what they do here. 

When I first read about this I assumed it was something to do with him being out sick/ill for so long.

But i guess timeline is off if the test happened a while back.

I'm going to wait for more info...

If this is the worst that happens, I think that we've got off very lightly. The injuries to Fofana and Lavia and even Cucurella's one match suspension seem much worse events.

Depends on the psychological impact on the team.

Football wise no its not a blow at all, he was being used as a conference league player. We know how fragile a teams group mentality can be though, and will be a big test for Maresca.

It actually can be a positive. Instead of Mudryk, Tyrique George can play the games and get his minutes.

Its a waste of time playing Mudryk, we’ve seen zero improvement since he joined. Maybe minimal but not enough.

We've got Neto, Sancho, Maduke, and Palmer can play RW. Also got Estavo and that Paez coming in the summer. We were gonna sell this guy anywayy.

Whatever he was on it wasn't working very well was it. I mean his performance does need enhancement but that's Enzo's job.
