Mykhailo Mudryk signs for Chelsea

Imo, it is not they are better. Maresca is afraid to play Mudyrk.

It is because they are better. Both know how to utilise their talent. Mudryk looks like he wakes up every morning with no memory of the things he’s learned at training the day before.

I’d imagine it’s because Neto and Sancho are better in his position. Certainly at the moment anyway.

Neto, Sancho, Felix, I would play all 3 of them over Mudryk.

This.  Mudryk is 6th choice in the attacking positions.  Reality is outside of Palmer who is clearly first choice, the rest of Neto, Noni, Sancho and Felix are all ahead of Mudryk.  We see some PL favorites in those, and I think Maresca will continue to use wingers based on form, opposition, tactics and fitness.  The days of a winger being in form for 38 games are somewhat gone, and starting rotation with a strong bench is serving us well.

I wish Mudryk a good career. It must be mad to be in London earning pots of money whilst his friends and family are being bombed and fighting on the front lines.

Having said that I never believed he was good enough for a top 4 team here when he was at Shaktar and I watched him several times as Scotland seemed to play Ukraine every few months before he moved to Chelsea. Celtic also had Shaktar in their CL group.

His pace made him really stand out but he was exactly the same as he has mostly shown here. Running into trouble and being dispossessed frequently.

He's looked a bit better recently but has hardly progressed in the time he’s been here. Best for everyone that he moves on loan or preferably a transfer.

With Estevao and Paez  arriving in the summer his minutes will be few and far between.

Just to confirm, he's been ill. The reason isn't because Enzo is scared or that Felix is better.

Felix is definitely better. A much better footballer.

You will be converted one day....Felix is class. A rolls royce.

By your own reasoning...

Joao Felix

Premier League

1 goal - 6th goal in a 6-2 win.

1 assist - Assisted the 3rd goal with a 2 yard pass and Madueke carrying the ball.

293 minutes and zero meaningful goal contributions.

EFL cup

1 assist - opening assist against Barrow in a 5-0 win.

166 minutes and 1 meaningful assist against league 2 opposition.

Conference league

4 goals - opening goal against Panthianaikos and 3rd goal. 4th and 6th goal against NOAH.

298 minutes and a single meaningful goal against olive farmers.

In total 757 minutes for 1 meaningful goal and 1 meaningful assist against a league 2 team and a Greek team. RUBBISH.

Mudryk has to do what he did in the last conference league game on a semi regular basis, but even more important to Maresca is he has to match the work ethic and defending Sancho and Neto put in. That team attitude and responsibility.

Maresca praised that in Sancho more than his goal and attacking play, and is why Noni has lost his spot as both of Neto and Sancho defend better, work harder for the team and maintain their focus better.

Even if he does what you said, he won't play.

If you want to talk about defending, madueke is imo more a problem.

Can easily see a scenario where he goes out this winter as a make weight I a deal to bring a striker in. Something along the lines of Mudryk to Galatasaray, Osimhen to us. Mudryk's transfer is one of the most misrepresented piece of media sh!te at the height of the narrative against the club. He wasn't a 100m player, he was 80 odd million, if we won the league and the CL. It was actually 60 Something million, amortised.

We sell him for 50m as part of a bigger player deal and whilst we will lose a bit in cash terms we would actually turn a profit for ffp.

Mudryk is on 100k/w (5 years left??) . It will be hard to find any buyer for him.

I hope it’s nothing burger and will wait for more credible source, but hypothetically if he’s found guilty and gets a ban, can we get rid of him without paying? I just suspect there are clauses in play in cases like this.

I was reading elsewhere that he tested positive to a banned substance at the end of October.

The B sample results are due to be released soon.

I’d imagine it would be the same as the Mutu situation? Breach of contract.
