We left ourselves with Marc Guiu and Nkunku playing out of position as our options to cover Jackson.

I don't think good quality squad depth is high on our list of concerns.

Maybe Maresca thinks we're lacking speed in attack. Given that our attacking form has gone to pot, he probably thinks Mudryk is worth a crack. Maybe he's the glue who holds the squad together?

We'll find out the results after he's weed, that'll be the acid test. The next ECL round will make it crystal clear whether Maresca is a dope or whether he's given the players a smack around the head.

I haven’t looked in too much depth but other than Lavia are any other senior players missing ?

The only other explanation I can see is that there have been major developments in terms of the doping matter
 

They’ll keep him part of the squad until it gets resolved and an actual verdict on his case is given. They’ll just drop him and replace him with George.

I met a fella in pub in Brighton as well Geremi. Could hardly walk the next day. It wasn't Jermaine Jenas was it? 

Conference league is his level, given the players we got rid off, not surprised he's included.  I'm sure he would have been loaned out if not for this little 'substances' incident. Again, could have been a complete different story if we let Arsenal buy him.

it is important to understand that the lawyers hired by Mudryk are certainly taking care of the public aspect of the case. When Tribuna.com first reported Mudryk’s positive doping test last December, British journalist Adam Crafton from The Athletic later revealed on the outlet’s podcast:

“We, along with other publications, tried to publish this before it was reported in the Ukrainian media. However, his (Mudryk’s) lawyers in the UK managed to delay the publication. I think it’s fair to say that. He hired lawyers who really have experience in challenging anti-doping cases.”

The Athletic on their podcast was asked about him. They basically said the fact that Chelsea are looking at new wingers and that there’s been no new update confirms that he will be banned. If the B sample was negative then we would have known about it by now.

His B sample must be positive and now it’s a case of him receiving a ban.

Yes, we can sue him, but we are unlikely to ever get that money back. There's no way he earns £50m over the course of his lifetime given his career to date, let alone if he cops a 4-year ban.

The recent decision in Diarra's case by CJEU also criticises FIFA/CAS's method of determining compensation, so if any proceedings happen under new rules, it is likely we would only ever be able to claim a fraction of it.

No, they just couldn't be bothered to do the admin to remove him. Its not that he is included, its that he hasn't been removed.

So our Accidental Junky has been training with the first-team and the rumour is that the B test may have been a negative result - we always knew that he was not taking performance enhancing drugs because there was nothing enhanced about his performances. But this has been a very strange story and it really should be concluded much sooner. There is still no official word. Just a rumour that he is coming back - which may just be a rumour.

Surely it can't have taken this long to get the result.
