There were murmurs on Twitter that it was negative and that he'll be coming back soon, but nothing looked reliable. Here's an example: https://twitter.com/Traviswurld/status/1885852168332145062
February 6, 20251 yr “Mudryk’s B Sample is expected back in January and, if positive, the Ukrainian could face a four-year ban” --- and so Jan as gone and so we should have an answer. Something more concrete than rumour - some official answer.
February 6, 20251 yr If we left Felix go and did not pursue Garnacho, the club must have some inclination that Mudryk will be fine, otherwise it questions why we left our self with limited depth, sent Felix on loan and did not pursue Garnacho. Hopefully he is ok.

Hopefully he is ok. We left ourselves with Marc Guiu and Nkunku playing out of position as our options to cover Jackson. I don't think good quality squad depth is high on our list of concerns.
February 7, 20251 yr Start celebrating, Mudryk has been named in our Conference League squad. https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/chelsea-squad-for-uefa-conference-league-knockout-stage-confirmed
February 7, 20251 yr Maybe Maresca thinks we're lacking speed in attack. Given that our attacking form has gone to pot, he probably thinks Mudryk is worth a crack. Maybe he's the glue who holds the squad together? We'll find out the results after he's weed, that'll be the acid test. The next ECL round will make it crystal clear whether Maresca is a dope or whether he's given the players a smack around the head.

The only other explanation I can see is that there have been major developments in terms of the doping matter
February 8, 20251 yr They’ll keep him part of the squad until it gets resolved and an actual verdict on his case is given. They’ll just drop him and replace him with George.
February 9, 20251 yr During his time off, he should practice defending. Crap winger but would make for an excellent full back with his speed.
February 9, 20251 yr A fella in the pub at Brighton was claiming he’s had a massive bust up with Pep 2.0. Yet another dead asset though 😔 Who in their right mind buys a winger that can’t control the ball or shoot, who’s failed a drugs test and is on ridiculous money. Arsenal’s luckiest escape.

I met a fella in pub in Brighton as well Geremi. Could hardly walk the next day. It wasn't Jermaine Jenas was it?
February 9, 20251 yr Conference league is his level, given the players we got rid off, not surprised he's included. I'm sure he would have been loaned out if not for this little 'substances' incident. Again, could have been a complete different story if we let Arsenal buy him.
March 4, 20251 yr Still no public news about our favourite 'accidental junky'.If the B sample confirms the A sample results and leads to sanctions against the athlete, the findings might not be publicly disclosed. In such cases, only the laboratory, the anti-doping organization, and the athlete or their representatives would be aware of the outcome."This is stated in the anti-doping procedures and does not depend on the lawyers in any way. Only the final decision of the anti-doping organization must be made public," emphasizes the head of the anti-doping center.Soon, the Football Association of England will be required to announce whether it will punish Mudryk, and if so, how. After that, Mykhailo's defense will have the option to appeal the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne if necessary.it is important to understand that the lawyers hired by Mudryk are certainly taking care of the public aspect of the case. When Tribuna.com first reported Mudryk’s positive doping test last December, British journalist Adam Crafton from The Athletic later revealed on the outlet’s podcast:“We, along with other publications, tried to publish this before it was reported in the Ukrainian media. However, his (Mudryk’s) lawyers in the UK managed to delay the publication. I think it’s fair to say that. He hired lawyers who really have experience in challenging anti-doping cases.”
March 4, 20251 yr The Athletic on their podcast was asked about him. They basically said the fact that Chelsea are looking at new wingers and that there’s been no new update confirms that he will be banned. If the B sample was negative then we would have known about it by now. His B sample must be positive and now it’s a case of him receiving a ban.

March 4, 20251 yr 12 hours ago, Zeta said:Can we somehow sue him and get his transfer fee back? Giant waste of money.Yes, we can sue him, but we are unlikely to ever get that money back. There's no way he earns £50m over the course of his lifetime given his career to date, let alone if he cops a 4-year ban.The recent decision in Diarra's case by CJEU also criticises FIFA/CAS's method of determining compensation, so if any proceedings happen under new rules, it is likely we would only ever be able to claim a fraction of it.
March 4, 20251 yr Isn't he in the conference league team sheet? Unless it's ad admin error, could mean he will have his ban sorted soon

March 12, 20251 yr So our Accidental Junky has been training with the first-team and the rumour is that the B test may have been a negative result - we always knew that he was not taking performance enhancing drugs because there was nothing enhanced about his performances. But this has been a very strange story and it really should be concluded much sooner. There is still no official word. Just a rumour that he is coming back - which may just be a rumour.
March 12, 20251 yr 1 minute ago, Zeta said:Surely it can't have taken this long to get the result.Right. That just does not make any sense. AND it has still not been officially reported one way or another. Just rumours.
