It's possible but it is so common across most of Eastern Europe that he could have unknowingly ingested it in any manner of ways. The markers they test for remain in protein (eg whey or meat) for days, it could easily be consumed in a protein powder or supplement.

Drug cheat or not, he's not a footballer.

The reality is he is probably guilty and if that's the case he has to go.
