Sky Sports saying Vincent Kompany is on a four person shortlist. I actually think he's an underrated option to be fair, footage from his team talks shows he's the type of manager that won't take any bs from the players.

Our squad could definitely use something like this

I'd have liked to have seen him throwing stuff around as well ... and maybe kicking over a gatorade dispenser ?

I would have been against Pochettino completely when Lamps 1.0 was sacked but I think on this occasion he's a good fit.

He has a proven track record of developing raw young players and will instantly sort our fitness problems out in pre season.

Not convinced he's the solution to bring the title back home but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

The fitness point is very valid, his teams had the highest distance covered in the league for 4 out of his 6 seasons in the Prem.

Though I do think Spurs' squad under Pochettino (Kane, Prime Eriksen and Lloris, Kyle Walker, Vertonghen and Alderweireld), is quite a bit better than what we currently have

We're in a position where we really cannot afford another gamble. I've stated from the beginning Pochettino represents genuinely everything what the club is now looking for, and best of all he knows the League and European competition. People criticize his time at Spurs but when Mourinho and Conte can't win a thing there questions need to start being pointed internally.

I literally have a boner thinking about the possibility of Pochettino improving the likes of Colwill, Enzo, Mudryk, Madueke, Fofana, Badisashile, etc.

They became like that because of his coaching in my opinion.

I thought Walker and Vertonghen were Bosingwa and Luiz esque until Pochettino got hold of them and he turned even Danny Rose into a genuine world class fullback until his injury destroyed him.

Boners aside, I pretty much agree with all of that LOL

Enrique is the only man for the job but he’s got too much personality for Boehly and co, they want someone they can control and ironically Nagelsmann’s girlfriend wears the trousers and she is accepting a new job in Germany and she doesn’t want him living in London.

Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley are in charge of the recruitment.

I know but obviously Boehly green lights it and he’ll want dressing room access/WhatsApp group collaboration etc as part of the package. Experienced alpha-coaches (can’t think of a better term) like Enrique would hate all that.

Kompany would just treat us as a stepping stone to his beloved Man-City. How insane would that be, a club which barely has any legends anyway and WE are the f**king stepping stone to a club created in 2008. Humiliating, utterly humiliating idea.

This is where I'd have hoped the likes of Vivell and Co would step in and take over that responsibility. They should be the ones working with the manager on the day to day, not Boehly and his Billy Beane impersonation.

Enrique allegedly had too many demands and wanted a lot of control in the market. His prior history in that regard is also poor which really holds him back.

All journalist fluff. No way is he really considered.

It appears Nagelsmann was butthurt he didn't get the job immeidately after his interview.

From Ben Jacobs:

"Nagelsmann was viewed as a strong candidate, and always part of Chelsea's thinking, but club made it clear to him there was process. There would be no managerial corronation. Understand feedback on Nagelsmann was also mixed, even negative in some quarters."

Pochettino for me is still my preferred choice.

And for me too. Always made the most sense. We need to be realistic about where we are: we're trying to bed in a lot of new, young players, and get back in the Champions League. Of all those available, Pochettino seems the least risky appointment. He also seems an even-tempered guy so I'm sure d**khead Bohely will enjoy his company and Whatsapp bants.

Christ, we’ve fallen hard. We’ve never had an issue getting a top manager in, the only one we couldn’t get was Pep. Everybody else was eager to join us, now bloody Nagelsmann turned his nose up at us.

Imagine if Pep had joined Chelsea in 2012, we would've had the 'Barcelona in blue' that Roman always wanted

The 4th one could be Oliver Glasner.

Has won last Season with Eintracht Frankfurt the European League (Big Trophy since Decades for Eintracht) and nearly a Wonder for them. No clear Statement that he will stay for next Season. He plays attacking and high pressing Football and has good experience developing young players in Austria and Germany.

As our Director of Sport is from Red Bull Leipzig, he could know him and have maybe some Talks going on.

Issue? What issue? Enrique wanted too much control and Nagelsmann's inexperience held him back? Apparently butthurt too the club didn't give him the position then and there.

This is still very much the club's choice, and we NEED to get it right.
