That’s all you’ve got to offer? It was a genuine question for your views! I think you’re better off on Twitter my old fruit!

What?

He was sacked in the last two jobs as result of awful performances

What I need more?

Until now Frank don't show anything to defend him as a coach

Our next matches

I really see us struggling and fighting for relegation zone

this probably will be worst than 15/16 campaign

So we're going to lose every single game and all of the sh*t teams in the bottom 3 are going to make 12 points up on us are they? Piss off, you have no clue what you're talking about.

Our next fixtures are really hard and we are in ucl

hire lampard is given up of ucl and that is madness

As i've already explained to you it will take a combination of results even more unprecedented than Leicester's title win for relegation to be a danger.

It will take us picking up no more than 3/4 points and SEVEN teams below us suddenly rolling out mid table form, if you feel it's a possibility get down the bookies because it you would become very rich if it actually happens.

We were better under Lampard that we ever were under Potter. Not to mention a huge lift for the fans and probably for the players too. This season has big a big old pile of sh*te, but it's just gotten a little bit better. Not sure what everyone else was hoping for? JC in as Interim? Speaking of which, this is Frank's JC moment.

Frank did well in his first season with us. He had to contend with the transfer ban, and we ended fourth.

This season is a right off but having Frank back for a bit will bring some joy to what has been a joyless season.

The pain we are feeling now will make the eventual joy of winning things again all the sweeter. We may have to wait for a bit but for FFS some of the posts on here are disproportionate to what has occurred. Yes, it’s been a poor season. But the potential of this team is immense.

We should be thankful to Frank for stepping in. Yes, he has been a bit naïve as a coach, but people are too hard on him. His enthusiasm and energy might just give the players the motivation to make this season more pleasant and dare I say exciting in the final stages. At least we might get some passion!

As an interim I could understand the logic and even warming to the idea.

My worry is an over emotional full time appointment if we somehow win the UCL or even 'just' beat Madrid.

No chance on 39pts. The highest points total to be relegated with 38 games is 42. The old 40 that many of us refer to was over a 42-game season...49 relegated Palace in the inaugural premier league season. My hometown team avoided relegation that year on goal difference. We all thought they had gone down but ended up with three wins in a week. They defeated Villa at Villa Park earning ManU their first title in 26 years, then beat the Scousers at home and were cruising 4-1 up in the last match only for Le Tissier to get a hattrick and a very nervous final few minutes.

This club is actually mental. This is such an unexpected and left field appointment even in these circumstances.

I wish Frank well. At least he'll unify the club and the supporter base.

Sometimes I forget why I love this club. Then we do something crazy like this and I remember all over again. We are mental, and I absolutely love it

You worry too much about things that more than likely won't happen and are totally out of your control. If it did so be it...an extra CL would add to our status. Managers and players come and go, the club is paramount.

For him almost as much as us I feel it. He didn't get a proper farewell last time and to have one via a UCL win or even a strong run at it would be perfect.

Plus the toxicity and split fanbase at the end of his permanent spell was awful, and I really don't want that again for all our sakes (would be worse this time as the stadium would be full on top of everything else).

and using Kante as a defender 😢🙄

This season has been pretty well over for a while now. Yes, we are still in the Champions League but realistically we are a massive long shot to win it. No matter who is in charge we will likely still struggle to score goals fluently this season with the current squad. A new manager won't turn things around that quickly. We are also pretty well safe from relegation at this point. The owners could have led Potter finish the season off but I think the toxicity that was building from the fans led them to cut him loose early. Lampard is really just a figurehead to see out the season, and one that is still fairly popular with a lot of the fans. He is also under pretty well no pressure (unlike his previous stint here) so I think that will be reflected in his outlook and the way that he coaches this time. Of course there could be one complication here. What if somehow we were to win the Champions League under Lampard? It would be eerily similar to the situation under RDM and put the board in a slightly tricky situation. Unlikely admittedly but crazier things have happened.

Not a lot of time for Lamps to switch us to a back 4 for the first Madrid game, and lacking a fit Silva to boot. Shame really, and back 2 of Silva and Fofana would be good battle for Benzema. Maybe for the second leg.

Mendy

James

Fofana

Silva

Chilwell

Enzo

Kante

Mount

Sterling

Havertz

Felix

Maybe Trev covers for Silva in game 1?
